To Our Clients:
With the implementation of the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) in the National Capital Region, please rest assured that EMSAVVIL will continue to serve you within certain parameters and protocols adopted to safeguard the health and safety of our lawyers, employees and clients, and in compliance with the directives of the government and issuances of other concerned offices, agencies and authorities.
Thus, similar to how we have operated during the Enhanced Community Quarantine, the following shall remain to be effective during the MECQ and until further notice:
1. Our physical offices at the Penthouse 2 and Unit 1404 of the Manila Luxury Condominium in Ortigas Center, Pasig City will still be closed to the public.
2. As it is our commitment to continue to promptly and timely provide you with service, the default work arrangement shall be an implementation of the Firm’s prescribed work from home policy, with the following details:
a) Our lawyers and non-legal staff will continue to work in separate remote locations and will be available to render assistance to you from 9:00AM to 6:00PM, daily from Monday to Friday, except during any official leave of absence or during holidays and government-declared non-working days.
b) In case permissible under the effective regulations, but only by way of an exception and only when absolutely necessary, the members of the Firm who need to perform essential on-site work may from time to time and strictly on a case-to-case basis, be allowed to work on-site, strictly following the government-prescribed limitations, but without prejudice and subject to any further directive or issuance by the government and other concerned offices, agencies and authorities.
3. Email will still be the primary mode of communication.
4. Should you require any meetings, please note that our lawyers are still directed to hold meetings through teleconferencing or videoconferencing.
5. As you are aware, while we have some files in digital form already, there are still some items that are only available in hard copies that are kept in our office. Thus, we apologize in advance for any considerable amount of time required or any delays that may occur in case we need to access or transmit physical documents in connection with any of your referrals.
6. Should you have recently sent, whether through mail, private courier or any other mode, any documents or packages to us, kindly inform the handling lawyer in-charge of your account of such circumstance, as well as the details of the transmittal, including but not limited to any tracking details so that our staff can properly receive or retrieve these items.
7. Please note that considering the recent issuances of the concerned government offices and agencies, our transactions with certain offices, entities and parties may be affected by the MECQ regulations, as well as the suspension of work or limitations prescribed or in place.
8. For any and all payment and finance/account-related concerns, please send an email to our Ms. Merle Benigay at [email protected] so she may address your concerns or provide you with specific payment instructions, for your convenience.
9. Please note that we may also continue to experience some difficulties or delays in issuing our bills covering items related to your retainer agreement with our Firm and we may also issue at a much later time official receipts covering payments made in our favor, in view of the closure of our physical offices. In any case, please rest assured that we will confirm your payments and issue official receipts as soon as possible.
We will promptly inform you of any subsequent policy of our Firm regarding the foregoing.
Thank you very much for your understanding. We hope that you are safe and well, too.
Please do not hesitate to email us any referral or concerns.
