⚖️ HARASSMENT IS NOT COLLECTION.
Many borrowers believe that because they owe money, they must simply endure threats, humiliation, intimidation, and abusive collection tactics.
That is not the law.
While lenders have the right to collect legitimate debts, they do not have the right to harass, threaten, shame, publicly humiliate, or traumatize borrowers and their families.
If you are experiencing any of the following:
❌ Threatening messages or calls
❌ Public shaming on social media
❌ Harassment of family members, friends, or co-workers
❌ False accusations or intimidation
❌ Threats of violence or physical harm
❌ Excessive and abusive collection practices
Know that you have rights under Philippine law.
If you are being subjected to unlawful collection practices:
✔ Save screenshots, messages, and call records
✔ Document all incidents of harassment
✔ Avoid engaging in heated exchanges
✔ Report unlawful conduct to the proper authorities
✔ Seek legal guidance to protect yourself and your family
Owing money does not mean surrendering your dignity.
Every person deserves respect, fairness, and protection under the law.
At BETA CREDO LAW OFFICE, we believe that borrowers and lenders alike should be treated with fairness, professionalism, and respect.
If you are facing abusive collection practices, know that you do not have to face them alone.
