Remedial law is the killer subject in law school. Hence, it makes or breaks most barristers. Hindi ka talaga makakatulog pag 3rd day na kinabukasan ng bar. Last year, I almost fainted during the Remedial Law in the afternoon. Due to exhaustion and anxiety. I thought I would not be able to finish the exams. I only had an hour left and I still had to answer 8 questions. Naisip ko na lang, ilalaban ko na to. When the bar exam results were released, Remedial Law was one of the subjects na mataas rating ko. I got 84. Yung subject na kinakatakutan ko yung dahilan bakit pumasa ako ng bar. This is a cliche but it still works: Face your fear. Just when you think na hindi mo kaya, sa isip mo lang pala yan. Kaya mo pala. To the barristers and my 7 mentees, finish strong. You will become lawyers soon! ⚖️✍️🥰🙏

Good luck tomorrow in your 3rd day of the bar!

On Sunday, 13th of September is the last day of the Bar exams (Criminal Law, Remedial Law, Judicial and Legal Ethics and Legal Forms/Practical Exercises). On Saturday, your mind will not let you rest. You will feel anxious. Doubts will creep in. Do not listen and give in to these emotions. Go for a walk. Visit a church near your hotel. Sit in silence. Eat a hearty meal. Then try to sleep. You will make it and you will finish strong.

Good luck, 2026 UEP barristers!

𝗔 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗧𝗼 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 | Here's one last piece of advice, straight from a lawyer who's been there. ⚖️

"𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐚 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧."

𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗻, shares his message with this year's Barristers, a reminder that the bar is not just a fight for one's own dream, but is also more importantly a fight for the hopes of the underprivileged, the unlettered and the oppressed against injustice. Here is his message for this year's barristers:

"Every question you will answer from Day 1 to Day 3 will test not only your legal knowledge but also your determination and compassion to be of service to your community, to the country.

Every letter, word, and paragraph will be a testament to your grit, perservance, tenacity.

Answer not only with legal basis. Answer with justice. Keep in mind that the bar is also a test of character, not just of legal acumen.

Once you walk outside of your testing center on the last day of the bar exams, keep in mind that you are not only fighting for your own dream, you are championing the hopes of the underprivileged, the unlettered, the oppressed.

Good luck to the 2026 UEP College of Law barristers!

You are almost there.

Claim that dot!"

3 days before the 2026 bar exams. To the barristers, I understand what you feel at this moment. Remember that you have reached this point because you are ready for this.

You are almost there.
