⚖️ BP 22: A Bounced Check Is Not Simply a Debt Problem.

📌 For creditors: Proper documentation and compliance with the requirements of BP 22 can make a significant difference in pursuing the criminal aspect of the case

📌 For drawers: A dishonored check does not mean that criminal liability should simply be presumed. The prosecution must still prove every element of the offense.

Did you know that after mandatory conciliation, the barangay may issue 2 kinds of certificates?

🔹 Certificate to File Action – Issued when conciliation fails or is not possible. This allows a party to legally file a case in court or with an agency.

🔹 Certificate to Bar Action – Issued when a party refuses or fails to appear without valid reason. This can prevent that party from filing a case on the same dispute.
