With ILAO, we shall form Ignatian practice-ready graduates or servant-lawyers in live solidarity with the people we are especially called to serve, that is, each of the six provinces of our Bikol homeland: Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate and Catanduanes. "Rowing into the deep" in the spirit of a GC-36, we shall contribute to the promotion and protection of human rights, st

ILAOโ€™s Executive Director, Atty. Raizel V. Dimaano, and Resident Lawyer, Atty. Alfea C. Barra, delivered sessions that strengthened the participantsโ€™ understanding of child protection in the digital space by providing a clear explanation of what OSAEC and CSAEM are and how these harms affect children, discussing the laws and national policies that safeguard children in the digital environment, and offering practical guidance on how LCPCs and BCPCs can prevent, identify, and report cases of OSAEC and CSAEM.

Through this initiative, ILAO joins the 2025 National Childrenโ€™s Month celebration, continuing to advance child rights advocacy and equip local councils with the knowledge needed to protect children from online exploitation.๐Ÿง’๐Ÿง‘โœจ๏ธ

On August 21, 2025, Clinical Legal Education Program (CLEP) II and III students attended and actively participated in the first part of the Specialized Jail Decongestion Training conducted by the Humanitarian Legal Assistance Foundation (HLAF) at the Alingal Function Hall, Ateneo de Naga University.๐Ÿ’œ

The program began with opening messages from Atty. Raizel V. Dimaano, ILAO Director and Atty. Jean Aubree Ruby T. Sadural, HLAF Executive Director. This session included Module 1: Introduction to HLAF and Module 2: Jail Situationer; and Mr. Dominic Nobleza, HLAF Scholar, led the training module making and management. Also, present during the event were Mr. Jeffer Ian Mina, HLAF Program Officer, and Ms. Carmelita Torrefiel, HLAF Senior Community Development Officer.

This training, under the Jail Decongestion Desk of ILAO, is designed to immerse students in jail decongestion work through asynchronous modules, a synchronous workshop, and applied learning tasks.

HLAF is a non-government and non-profit organization committed to upholding the rights of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), and this training equips law students to contribute meaningfully to that mission.

With every session, our CLEP II and III students are not only learning the law, they are learning how to use it in service of justice and human dignity.โœจ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

This initiative was a stand for clean, transparent, and accountable elections during the 2025 Philippine Elections.

Last May 5, 2025, CLEP students from Ateneo de Naga College of Law conducted their Legal Aid Mission, and at the same time, a Voter's Education Talk on Anti-Vote Buying/Selling and Abuse of State Resources (ASR) at the Barangay Hall of Pacol. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Barangay Captain Ruben S. Limbo, other barangay officials of Pacol, and of course, the participants, for supporting this event.

The event aimed to highlight the importance of informed decision-making for the midterm elections recently held last May 12, 2025. With the help of informed voters, the integrity of our election process can be safeguarded.
