๐ค๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐พ๐ผ ๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐ก๐ฎ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฒ๐พ๐ถ is the Latin maxim that greeted me when I first entered Bongat Law Office (BLO) on June 16, 2026. In English, it means, โwhere there is a right, there is a remedy.โ
I wrote them a letter signifying my interest to be an intern in their law firm during the school break that started in June 2026 and will end in July. I was glad they welcomed me and was told to start right away.
I am Dominique Simone R. Saraspi, an incoming 3rd year BS Legal Management student in Ateneo de Manila University. Interning at Bongat Law Office (BLO) is a fruitful and enjoyable experience for me. Aside from keeping myself busy before S/Y 2026-2027 kicks off in August, Iโm given the opportunity to gain insight into the legal profession and the work involving clients.
During my time in the law office so far, I have assisted in preparing affidavit narratives and transcriptions, drafting direct examination questions, and reviewing and editing due diligence reports. I donโt know if I enjoyed it at first, but I think Iโm now beginning to enjoy doing all that stuff.
Working among the lawyers and staff of BLO has also allowed me to gain experience that will better prepare me to law school. This internship made me realize that the field of law is so vast, although the Managing Lawyer, Atty. John, would assure me and the paralegals that law is nothing but pure common sense, based on equity and fairness. If you know what it takes to be fair and just, and if you donโt do unto others what you donโt want others do unto you, then studying law will just be a piece of cake. And the law gives a remedy for every right violated.
Because after all, where there is a right, there is a remedy.
