Our Story
The San Beda College Alabang - Legal Aid Center is a school based, non-profit, community service-oriented organization which caters to the public by offering free legal services. This organization is run by 4th year law students of San Beda College-Alabang who are under the guidance and supervision of their professors, in compliance with their internship, and with Rule 138-A of the Rules of Court (Law Student Practice Rule)
This organization was established in 2013 in response to a strong clamor for justice, to afford oppressed indigents an opportunity to be informed of their rights, and for them to be represented in court.
This organization has also given its member an opportunity to be responsible citizens by allowing them to apply what they have learned in law school, in order for them to be of service to the community. By this, their eyes are opened to the needs of their indigent neighbors and they get exposed to people who need them.
While still a young organization, the Legal Aid Center has already represented clients in court, offered free legal services to numerous people in need, and has been a rigorous training ground for its interns.
