Rene A.V. Saguisag Legal Aid Center The San Beda College Alabang - Legal Aid Center is a school based service oriented organization which offers free legal services to indigents.

The San Beda College Alabang - Legal Aid Center is a school based, non-profit, community service-oriented organization which caters to the public by offering free legal services. This organization is run by 4th year law students of San Beda College-Alabang who are under the guidance and supervision of their professors, in compliance with their internship, and with Rule 138-A of the Rules of Court

(Law Student Practice Rule)

This organization was established in 2013 in response to a strong clamor for justice, to afford oppressed indigents an opportunity to be informed of their rights, and for them to be represented in court. This organization has also given its member an opportunity to be responsible citizens by allowing them to apply what they have learned in law school, in order for them to be of service to the community. By this, their eyes are opened to the needs of their indigent neighbors and they get exposed to people who need them. While still a young organization, the Legal Aid Center has already represented clients in court, offered free legal services to numerous people in need, and has been a rigorous training ground for its interns.

LIBRENG KONSULTASYONG LIGAL PARA SA LIGTAS NA TAHANAN AT LIGTAS NA KOMUNIDAD

On March 15, 2026, the Rene A.V. Saguisag Legal Aid Center held a free community legal consultation and legal education talk, continuing its mission of making legal assistance and legal knowledge accessible to the public.

The legal consultation was conducted with the guidance and supervision of Atty. Paul Garingo, Atty. Kimberly Espiritu, Atty. Petite Bravo, and Atty. Cris Anoñuevo, who assisted community members with their legal concerns. Atty. Cris Anoñuevo also shared valuable insights during the lecture.

The activity was led by the Center’s officers: External Vice President Mier Dela Cruz, Internal Vice President Bianca Bencio, Treasurer Leigh Basilan, Secretary Frances Lasha, and Assistant Case Manager Virna Silva.

The community talk on the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children (Anti-VAWC) Act was delivered by interns Ramsie Legaspi, Rafael Canillas, and Louise EvidEnte.

The activity was further supported by volunteers Armie Goce, Niño Molino, Raven Castillo, Elvie Amiscosa, Pol Valmonte, and Cris Chua, who helped facilitate the program and assist participants during the consultations.

Through initiatives like this, the Rene A.V. Saguisag Legal Aid Center continues to promote legal awareness and community access to justice.

[ANNOUNCEMENT - TEMPORARY CLOSURE]

The Rene A.V. Saguisag Legal Aid Center will be temporarily closed starting March 16, 2026 to April 5, 2026 to give way to the Midterm Examinations of all our interns and volunteers and Holy Week Break.

We will resume our operations on April 6, 2026. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

LIBRENG KONSULTASYONG LIGAL PARA SA LIGTAS NA TAHANAN AT LIGTAS NA KOMUNIDAD

Bilang pakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng International Women’s Month, inaanyayahan ng Rene A.V. Saguisag Legal Aid Center, sa pakikipagtulungan sa Commission on Service to Human Promotion (COSHP) ng Shrine of the Five Wounds of Our Lord Jesus Christ, ang lahat na makiisa sa isang Free Legal Aid and Community Talk tungkol sa Anti-Violence Against Women and Children (Anti-VAWC) Act.

Layunin ng programang ito na mapalawak ang kaalaman ng komunidad tungkol sa kanilang mga karapatan sa ilalim ng batas, lalo na sa usapin ng proteksyon laban sa karahasan sa kababaihan at mga bata. Magkakaroon din ng pagkakataon ang mga kalahok na makakuha ng libreng legal na konsultasyon mula sa mga volunteer lawyers at law students ng RAVSLAC.

This year, we are raising funds for PDLs who no longer receive visits or support from their family or friends. All proceeds will go to grocery baskets and sanitary kits.
