TEACH AGAINST PORK and CORRUPTION to fellow Filipinos: STAND UP and be COUNTED!! Today, September 10, 2013, a new network of anti-pork and corruption advocates have bonded together to join the swelling mass of Filipinos who want to abolish the pork barrel system. It is a broad network among Teachers, Educators, Administrators and Communities who are for the Abolition of Pork and Re-channelling of
Pork to education and other social services. We believe that as part of the education sector, our collective voice must be heard too. With an Education Secretary who has pronounced that he fully supports the President’s stand, a counter position why Pork Barrel must abolished should be propagated within and without our classrooms. We should remember that Pnoy’s stand “it’s time to abolish the PDAF” is a lame and sugar-coated pronouncement on the flawed pork barrel system. The stench of the misuse of public funds is overflowing but then the President cannot make a genuine stand for the abolition of pork.
