[FEULAB ULAS TALK]

Senior Partner Atty. Karl A***n A. Castillo recently spoke on the Unified Legal Service Aid (ULAS) Rules, which govern the mandatory provision of pro bono legal services by members of the legal profession during The FEULAB Talk: Unified Legal Service Aid (ULAS) organized by the Far Eastern University Legal Aid Bureau.

Issued by the Supreme Court this 2025, the ULAS Rules aim to institutionalize and expand access to legal aid across the country. The event, held in collaboration with FEU IL Legal Aid Partner IBP Manila IV, was attended by lawyers and law students.

Atty. Castillo is a Member of the ULAS Technical Working Group and currently serves as Director of the ULAS Interim Board and the Auditor for the IBP Makati Chapter. He is a seasoned litigator and a recognized advocate for legal aid and access to justice, actively contributing to initiatives aimed at institutionalizing pro bono work in the Philippine legal system.
