PULIS SA SAMAR, NAGHATID NG PAG-ASA SA BIKTIMA NG KARAHASAN

Nagpakita ng malasakit at pagkakaisa ang mga miyembro ng Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) Class 2006-03 “PAGLAUM” na naka-assign sa Northern Samar matapos silang magsagawa ng outreach activity para sa isang survivor ng sexual abuse sa bayan ng Pambujan, Northern Samar.

Bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng kanilang ika-20 anibersaryo sa serbisyo, nagbigay ang grupo ng grocery assistance at livelihood support sa biktima at sa kanyang pamilya upang makatulong sa kanilang unti-unting pagbangon matapos ang pinagdaanang trauma.

Ang biktima ay kabilang sa insidenteng kinasangkutan ng dalawang tumakas na preso mula sa Provincial Jail noong 2025. Kasalukuyang nakabinbin sa korte ang kasong r**e laban sa mga suspek.

Ayon kay PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., mahalagang maipadama ng mga pulis hindi lamang ang pagpapatupad ng batas kundi maging ang tunay na malasakit sa komunidad.

“Hindi lamang po trabaho ng pulis ang hulihin ang mga lumalabag sa batas. Mahalaga rin na maramdaman ng ating mga kababayan na may malasakit at handang umalalay sa panahon ng kanilang pagbangon. Ang ganitong mga simpleng pagkilos ay may malaking epekto sa pagpapalakas ng tiwala at pag-asa ng ating mamamayan,” ani Gen. Nartatez.

Pinuri rin ng Pambansang Pulisya ang ipinakitang pagkakaisa at malasakit ng Class PAGLAUM, na anila’y patunay na nananatiling buhay ang diwa ng serbisyo publiko at pagmamalasakit kahit makalipas ang dalawang dekada sa hanay ng kapulisan.

Sa pamamagitan ng mga ganitong inisyatibo, patuloy na isinusulong ng Philippine National Police ang diwa ng Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.

PNP NETS HIGH-VALUE DRUG PERSONALITY IN ₱28.56-M SHABU HAUL

The Philippine National Police, under the leadership of Chief, PNP, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., intensified its anti-illegal drugs campaign following the arrest of a high-value drug personality during a buy-bust operation conducted by operatives of the Bacolod City Police Office City Drug Enforcement Unit (BCPO CDEU) on May 19, 2026, in Brgy. 31, Bacolod City, which resulted in the confiscation of more or less 4,200 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price value of PHP28,560,000.00.

Arrested was alias “Bongi,” a 36-year-old Filipina identified as a high-value individual involved in illegal drug activities in the area. The suspect was apprehended after handing over a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer in exchange for buy-bust money amounting to PHP7,000.00. Confiscated from her possession and control were seven heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and five knot-tied transparent plastic bags containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu recovered in Brgy. 31, Bacolod City, with the total haul valued at PHP28,560,000.00.

The arrested suspect was informed of her Constitutional Rights in accordance with the Miranda Doctrine in Hiligaynon, a language known and understood by her. Meanwhile, the seized pieces of evidence will be submitted to the PNP Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory examination, while inventory procedures were conducted in accordance with Section 21 of Republic Act 9165.

PGEN Nartatez underscored the PNP’s firm commitment to sustaining relentless operations against illegal drugs and criminality across the country.

“Operations like this show that the PNP remains relentless in going after individuals who continue to destroy communities through illegal drugs. We will continue to strengthen our campaign and ensure that those involved are held accountable before the law,” said PGEN Nartatez.

“Hindi kami titigil hangga’t may mga taong nagpapakalat ng ilegal na droga sa ating mga komunidad. Patuloy naming poprotektahan ang mamamayan laban sa mga banta ng kriminalidad,” dagdag ni PGEN Nartatez.

The accomplishment also reflects the continuing implementation of the PNP Focused Agenda—an operational framework for organizational transformation aimed at making police service more responsive and dependable to the needs of the public. Among its key priorities highlighted in this operation is Enhanced Managing Police Operations, which strengthens law enforcement efforts against illegal drugs and other forms of criminality through sustained police action and intensified field operations.

“Illegal drugs continue to fuel violence, fear, and the destruction of families and communities. The PNP will sustain focused enforcement efforts to prevent these illegal activities from gaining ground in our neighborhoods,” said PGEN Nartatez.

OVER PHP 46-M WORTH OF SHABU SEIZED, MULTIPLE SUSPECTS ARRESTED

The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the leadership of PNP Chief PGen Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., reported a series of successful anti-illegal drug operations across key areas in the country, resulting in the arrest of several suspects and the seizure of significant volumes of suspected shabu in coordinated law enforcement actions covering the period 08:00 AM, May 19 to 08:00 AM, May 20, 2026.

In Pasay City, authorities intercepted an abandoned inbound parcel at a courier warehouse inside the NAIA Complex containing approximately 1,234 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of PhP8.39 million. The shipment was discovered through coordinated cargo screening, X-ray inspection, and K-9 assistance, with the seized evidence immediately turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for proper disposition.

In Laguna, a buy-bust operation in Biñan City led to the arrest of two suspects and the confiscation of around 1,000 grams of suspected shabu valued at PhP6.8 million, along with buy-bust money and other evidence. In Taguig City, three suspects were arrested in a separate buy-bust operation yielding approximately 200 grams of suspected shabu valued at PhP1.36 million.

Meanwhile, in Zamboanga City, law enforcement operatives arrested a suspect and seized about 250 grams of suspected shabu worth PhP1.7 million during a coordinated anti-illegal drug operation involving multiple police units. In Tubigon, Bohol, another suspect was arrested following the recovery of approximately 220 grams of suspected shabu valued at PhP1.49 million through joint intelligence-driven operations.

In Bacolod City, authorities confiscated approximately 4,200 grams of suspected shabu valued at PhP28.56 million in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 31, resulting in the arrest of one suspect and marking the largest single haul among the recent operations.

All arrested individuals are under police custody, while confiscated illegal drug and non-drug evidence have been properly turned over to forensic units and the PDEA for laboratory examination and disposition. Charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being readied against the suspects.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., commended the operating units for their coordinated and sustained anti-drug efforts nationwide.

“These recent accomplishments reflect the strength of our improved operations on the ground. We are seeing better coordination, faster response, and more precise ex*****on from our units across the country. Ang mahalaga sa atin ngayon ay ipagpatuloy ang maayos at mas pinaigting na operasyon para mapanatiling ligtas ang ating mga komunidad mula sa ilegal na droga,” PGen Nartatez said.

He added that these operations are consistent with the PNP Focused Agenda under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, supporting intelligence-led policing and stronger inter-agency coordination in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s public safety priorities.

TWO SUSPECTS IN DELIVERY RIDER SLAY CASE ARRESTED IN BOCAUE PNP CRIME PROBE

The Philippine National Police, under the leadership of PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., has confirmed the arrest of two suspects in the killing of a 40-year-old delivery rider in Brgy. Turo, Bocaue, Bulacan on May 19, 2026, following an immediate follow-up operation launched after the violent incident.

Investigation showed that the victim, a resident of Binang 1st, Bocaue, Bulacan, was delivering a parcel when he was suddenly attacked by one of the suspects who stabbed him from behind. The victim attempted to escape but was struck again with a bladed weapon, causing him to fall to the ground. While already defenseless, the second suspect allegedly fired several shots, hitting the victim multiple times, resulting in his instantaneous death at the scene.

Personnel of the Bocaue Municipal Police Station conducted a follow-up operation that resulted in the arrest of the two suspects still within the area shortly after the incident. Recovered from their possession were a 9mm Parabellum pistol (FEG-Budapest, Made in Hungary) with serial number 111264, four live ammunition, two magazines, five spent cartridge cases, and one knife used in the attack.

The PNP emphasized that the immediate resolution of the case reflects its strong commitment to public safety, accountability, and sustained efforts to ensure that perpetrators of violent crimes are brought to justice without delay.

REGION 8 MOST WANTED FOR R**E, LASCIVIOUS CONDUCT ARRESTED IN PNP MANHUNT OPERATION

The Philippine National Police, under the leadership of PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., intensified its campaign against wanted persons following the arrest of the No. 7 Most Wanted Person at the provincial level in Police Regional Office 8 during an operation conducted on May 19, 2026, in Brgy. SMO. Rosario, Naval, Biliran.

Personnel of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Biliran Provincial Field Unit, serving as lead unit together with the Naval Municipal Police Station and Biliran Police Provincial Office, arrested a male accused by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for seven counts of Lascivious Conduct with recommended bail amounting to PhP1,400,000.00, and four counts of R**e with no bail recommended. The accused is presently under the custody of CIDG Biliran PFU pending proper judicial proceedings.

PGEN Nartatez stressed that the arrest demonstrates the unwavering resolve of the PNP to locate and arrest individuals accused of grave offenses, particularly crimes committed against women and children. “The PNP will continue to run after fugitives facing serious criminal charges and ensure that they are brought before the courts to answer for their actions. Walang puwang sa lipunan ang mga nang-aabuso at nagtatago sa batas,” he said.
