BRINGING JUSTICE CLOSER, LEAVING NO ONE BEHIND.

On August 27, 2026, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines – North Cotabato Chapter joined the IBP Nationwide Synchronized Jail Decongestion Activity held at the North Cotabato District Jail, Amas, Kidapawan City, Cotabato, covering both the Male and Female Dorms.

The activity was truly honored by the presence of none other than the National President of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Atty. Allan G. Panolong, whose vision and leadership made possible this first-ever nationwide synchronized jail decongestion initiative of the IBP.

This meaningful undertaking brought together the lawyer-members of the IBP North Cotabato Chapter, the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO), the Department of Justice through the Office of the National Prosecution Service, and the Courts, working together toward one shared purpose: to help ensure that justice is accessible, timely, and compassionate.

More than a legal consultation, this is a reminder that every person deserves due process, every case deserves attention, and every PDL deserves hope for a second chance.

One Bar. One Mission. One Justice System working together.

One Year of Project Kalinga

As we mark the first year of Project Kalinga: Alaga sa Kabataan, Gabay sa Kinabukasan, we are grateful to see our commitment taking shape—literally.

Today, we share an update on the ongoing construction of the toilet and bath facilities at CFCST Custodial Care, one of the key initiatives of Project Kalinga to provide the children with a safer, cleaner, and more dignified environment.

From that first visit a year ago to the many activities and initiatives that followed, Project Kalinga continues to turn concern into action and compassion into meaningful change. đź’ś

One year down, and the journey of Kalinga continues.

⚖️ Listening. Guiding. Serving. 💜

For communities far from the usual centers of legal services, having a lawyer to turn to can make a meaningful difference.

The IBP North Cotabato Chapter took part in the Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) – Serbisyong Totoo Caravan held in Barangay Kanibong, Tulunan, Cotabato, extending free legal aid to members of the community.

The participating lawyers provided legal consultations, answered questions, and offered guidance on various concerns brought before them. Each conversation was an opportunity not only to provide legal information, but also to help community members understand their rights and make informed decisions.

This outreach reflects the Chapter’s belief that meaningful access to justice requires more than the availability of legal remedies—it requires bringing legal assistance within the reach of those who need it most.

With every community visited and every concern heard, the commitment continues: to serve with compassion, uphold the rule of law, and make the law more accessible to all.

⚖️ Bringing Legal Aid Closer to the Community 💜

Justice becomes more meaningful when it reaches people where they are.

The IBP North Cotabato Chapter joined the Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) – Serbisyong Totoo Caravan in Barangay Bunawan, Tulunan, Cotabato, bringing free legal assistance closer to residents who may otherwise face difficulties in accessing legal services.

Through legal consultations and guidance, participating lawyers listened to the concerns of community members, helped clarify their legal rights and options, and provided practical advice on matters affecting their families and daily lives.

Beyond the legal assistance provided, the activity served as a reminder that the practice of law is not confined within courtrooms. It also calls upon lawyers to go beyond the usual places of practice and extend their knowledge and service to communities in need.

The IBP North Cotabato Chapter remains steadfast in its commitment to a legal profession that listens, serves, and reaches out—because access to justice should never be limited by distance.

Bringing justice closer to Indigenous Peoples through collaboration, commitment, and meaningful public service.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines – North Cotabato Chapter joined the IP Caravan held in Barangay Datu Sundungan, President Roxas, Cotabato, as part of the whole-of-nation effort to bring essential government services closer to Indigenous Cultural Communities.

Initiated through the leadership of Secretary and Chairperson Hon. Nancy A. Catamco of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), the activity brought together various government agencies and partner institutions, including the NCIP, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), PhilHealth, Public Attorney’s Office (PAO), Rural Health Unit (RHU), and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, to deliver accessible and responsive public services to IP communities.

As part of the initiative, the Chapter provided legal counselling, legal consultation, and assistance in the preparation of affidavits for delayed birth registration and correction of entries in Certificates of Live Birth—helping members of the community establish their legal identity and gain greater access to government services and opportunities.

Access to justice is most meaningful when it reaches every community, especially those who need it most.
