I’m glad to see another step forward for our fisherfolk through the efforts of Congressman Celso Gomera Regencia.

After the turnover of the fish cages, the distribution of 11,000 bangus fingerlings through the support of BFAR Northern Mindanao will now help our fisherfolk in Dalipuga begin their fish production.

We hope this grows into a good harvest and better opportunities for their families.

Sa araw na ito, ginugunita natin ang kapanganakan ng mahal na Propeta Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) at ang kanyang mga aral na patuloy na nagbibigay-gabay sa atin.

Nawa’y magsilbing pagkakataon ang pagdiriwang na ito upang lalo nating pagtibayin ang ating paggalang sa isa’t isa at ang ating pagkakaisa bilang isang komunidad.

Bilang inyong kinatawan sa Kongreso, patuloy akong nakikiisa sa ating mga kapatid na Muslim at sa buong sambayanang Iliganon sa adhikaing ito.

𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑻𝒐𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒕 ♥️

Had a meeting with 𝐃𝐎𝐇 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐗, represented by Assistant Regional Director Dr. Raymond Dela Cruz, to discuss updates and programs that can help strengthen healthcare services in Iligan.

I’m grateful to the 𝐃𝐏𝐖𝐇 𝐈𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 for taking the initiative to help prepare and move forward the plans for the ₱𝟑𝟎-𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐓. 𝐋𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥, funded under DOH Region X and supported by Cong. Celso Gomera Regencia.

The plans have now been signed and concurred in by 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨 𝐂. 𝐃𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧. 🫶🏼

There is still more work to be done, but this is an important step forward. I remain hopeful that these improvements will help strengthen our City Hospital and provide better support for our healthcare workers and patients. ♥️

Usa sa atong gihatagan og pagtagad mao ang pagpalig-on sa Gregorio T. Lluch Memorial Hospital.

Pinaagi sa ₱30-milyon nga pondo, makompleto ang third-floor ward sa New Ward Building ug mapalapad ang Operating Room. Matukod usab ang bag-ong Finance Office ug Pharmacy Stockroom. Apil niini ang mga structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing ug fire protection works nga gikinahanglan sa mga pasilidad.

Nagpasalamat kita sa Department of Health ug sa DPWH Iligan City District Engineering Office sa ilang pagtabang sa pag-andam sa mga dokumento alang sa proyekto.

Atong gipaabot nga, human sa pagtan-aw ug concurrence sa GTLMH, makapadayon na ang proyekto puhon sa mga sunod nga lakang.

Sa pagkahuman niini, mas mapaayo ang kapasidad ug kahimtang sa atong city hospital. Mas masuportahan usab niini ang atong healthcare workers sa ilang adlaw-adlaw nga pag-atiman sa mga pasyente.

Met a fellow Iliganon staffer, made a new friend, and was grateful to secure an additional PhP 500,000 in medical assistance that can help people in our district. ♥️

Big thanks to CSFI President Mary Ann Dy and everyone behind the assembly for putting together such a meaningful event. CSFI was also among those who extended assistance to Iligan during Basyang, so it was especially meaningful for me to reconnect with the people behind that support. ✨

Kauban niini ang padayon nga trabaho sa legislative process ug koordinasyon sa nagkalain-laing opisina aron masiguro nga matuman ang mga kinahanglanon sa mga panukalang balaod nga giduso ni Congressman Regencia.

Sa personal nga bahin, usa kini sa mga aspeto sa akong trabaho nga akong gikalipayan tungod kay magamit nako ang akong mga nakat-unan sa abogasya. ⚖️📚

Kasagaran makita sa publiko ang mga balaod kung nahimo na kini, apan daghan pa kaayong proseso, dokumentasyon, ug follow-through ang giagian niini sa wala pa makaabot niana nga punto.

𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚. ✨

I'm grateful for the opportunity to learn. The seminar gave me a better understanding of the national budget process and how I can better support our principal and serve our district.

My sincere thanks to the Congressional Policy and Budget Research Department (CPBRD) for organizing this learning opportunity. The discussions were practical and a reminder of the responsibility that comes with public service.

One lesson that stayed with me is that 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬. Behind every budget are competing priorities and finite resources. Every allocation reflects difficult choices about where government can make the greatest impact.

Another realization was the difference between national and local budgeting.

Sa local government, adunay 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐚𝐱 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐍𝐓𝐀), which is automatically allocated or appropriated to every LGU by law. Dili na kinahanglan nga mohangyo pa ang mga LGU sa national government aron madawat kini. LGUs also have the 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 to set their own priorities and generate local revenues to fund programs and projects.

Sa national government, lahi ang proseso. Every peso is evaluated against the needs of the entire country, with agencies, sectors, and districts all competing for limited resources.

Usahay makapangutana pud ta, "𝑁𝑔𝑎𝑛𝑜 𝑙𝑖𝑠𝑜𝑑 𝑚𝑎𝑛 𝑘𝑎𝑎𝑦𝑜 𝑚𝑎𝑏𝑢𝑑𝑔𝑒𝑡𝑎𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑢𝑠𝑎 𝑘𝑎 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑦𝑒𝑘𝑡𝑜 𝑜 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑚𝑎 𝑛𝑔𝑎 𝑚𝑎𝑜 𝑚𝑎𝑛 𝑔𝑦𝑢𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑎ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑙𝑎𝑛 𝑛𝑎𝑚𝑜?"

This seminar helped me understand that budgeting is about balancing local needs, national priorities, and available resources. That's why, in our office, we work to identify not only what our district needs but also what is 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬.

National and local budgets are different, but they complement each other. Both are essential in delivering development to our communities.

There is still so much for me to learn and apply. If there are times when I'm not around the district as much, it's because I'm studying how we can better support our principal and identify opportunities that may benefit our district.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to keep learning, and I look forward to putting these lessons into practice as we continue serving our district to the best of our abilities.
