The Municipality of Dumarao concludes the 3-day Gender and Development (GAD) Planning Workshop today, August 26, 2026 at OPCEN Building.

The workshop was participated by Mayor Matt Hachuela, Vice Mayor Gley Hachuela and the Municipal Department Heads, who actively joined in strengthening the LGU’s commitment to inclusive, and gender-responsive governance.

The LGU extends its appreciation to our resource persons, Atty. Krisha Dawn Bernolia, GAD Technical Assistant, and Julie Belle De Pedro, LGOO II and Provincial GAD Focal Person, for sharing their expertise and valuable insights throughout the workshop.

The activity serves as an important step toward developing effective GAD programs and initiatives that promote equality, inclusivity, and meaningful development for every Dumaraonon.

Vice Mayor Gley Hachuela together with Mayor Matt Hachuela attended the opening ceremony of the DumSIPSSAA Meet 2026 today, August 21, 2026 at Dumarao Elementary School Oval showing their full support and encouragement for the young athletes.

The participating delegations include, Estefania Montermayor National High School, Bungsuan National High School, Aglanot Integrated School, Aglalana Integrated School, Manuel F. Onato National High School, Ramon A. Benjamin Sr. National High School, Our Lady of Snows Institute, and Presentacion Diez Gregorio National High School.

More than a competition, the DumSIPSSAA Meet celebrates the talent, determination, discipline, sportsmanship, friendship, and unity of the youth.

𝐃𝐔𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐎 𝐏𝐄𝐎𝐏𝐋𝐄’𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒

The Local Government Unit of Dumarao successfully held the Dumarao People’s Congress today, August 20, 2026, at the OPCEN Building, Dumarao, Capiz.

The meeting brought together Municipal Mayor Matt Hachuela, Vice Mayor Gley Hachuela, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, barangay captains and officials, department heads, school principals/heads, representatives from various sectors and civil society organizations and PNP, BFP and others from different government agencies in the Municipality.

This People’s Congress served as an important avenue for communication, consultation, and collaboration, giving stakeholders the opportunity to share their concerns, ideas, recommendations, and aspirations for the good of the community. Through open communication and meaningful discussions, the LGU continues to strengthen its partnership with the people and ensure that local programs and initiatives are responsive to the needs of every sector.
