Balik Islam Sector in Davao City Condemns Killing of Ustadh Abdurrahman Espina
DAVAO CITY — Members of the Balik Islam sector in Davao City gathered in solidarity to express their condemnation over the killing of Ustadh Abdurrahman Espina, a respected Islamic teacher and da‘i whose life was dedicated to the propagation of Islam and service to the community.
The gathering brought together brothers and sisters from different backgrounds who share a common commitment to Islam, peace, justice, and the protection of human life. Their presence served as a strong message that violence against a member of the Muslim community must not be met with silence.
For many in the Balik Islam community, Ustadh Abdurrahman was more than an Islamic teacher. He represented the continuing journey of those who embraced Islam and dedicated themselves to learning, teaching, and serving others.
