💸 Davao City’s Economy Hits ₱574.72B — Still the South’s Top Performer!
Davao City is flexing its economic muscle once again! According to the latest report from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), the city posted a ₱574.72 billion economic output in 2024 — making up 2.6% of the country’s total Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
That’s a ₱42.18 billion boost from last year’s ₱532.54 billion (2.5%), proving that the “King City of the South” is on a serious upward trend.
What makes this more impressive? Davao is still the only economy outside Luzon to land in the Top 10 biggest provincial and highly urbanized city (HUC) economies. It also secured the 5th spot among HUCs with the highest contribution to the national GDP.
In a nutshell: Davao’s growth game is strong — and it’s not slowing down anytime soon.
