I would like to express my sincerest condolences to the family of Engineer Abdulkarim Langkuno, former and First Elected Mayor of Municipality of Paglat Province of Maguindanao del Sur.

I am so thankful to all the trust that you have given me from the first term of my friend and your daughter, now Mayor Raisa Langkuno. I must share that I got so surprised when you allowed me to facilitate the oath of Office of Mayor Raisa and the councilors who are one with your agenda of tireless good governance way back 2022. Every time the Municipality holds grand or big celebration, you always want me around. All of these gestures humble me sir, I am truly grateful for whatever regard you have towards me.
I can’t forget the first time I visited your very humble abode in Paglat, you told me how you go to offices in Manila ALONE without escorts to ask for projects for the Municipality. Long hours of waiting around 4 hours and beyond you just sit outside the office of Senator, Congressman(member of House Rep.), officials from Executive Department just for you to be given time to be accommodated. You did all of these to secure Projects for Paglat. Your sacrifices and good governance is evident! Visit Paglat and you will not see mansion house of the Mayor but roads that are not “lubak lubak”. You told me how decisive and patient you are for the welfare of People of Paglat. All of your stories are not lies, I am sure of that. Anyone can check for himself your house and be awed of how simple it is. Truly, all of the funds allocated for the Municipality were sincerely and wisely implemented. Sinabi niyo pa sa akin na “Hindi ako nagpayaman Atty., makita mo lahat dito sa daan at mga infrastructure ang mga pinagpaguran ko.” People can see the Municipal Hall of Paglat which was amazingly erected within 3 years from the creation of the Municipality. I can’t help but share this because I personally know a municipality which has been in existence for decades but no municipal hall in sight, sad. You, our dear Mayor gave so much premium to Education. Free tuition in Paglat Municipal College now Mindanao State University-Paglat. I personally went to the college because I also joined you in the ribbon cutting of one of the buildings in the campus. That building was also donated to the School because of your efforts. Sobrang swerte talaga ng mga Paglateño sa inyo Bapa! Talagang sincere ang pangarap(vision) niyo na magkaroon ng professional sa bawat household ng Paglat.
In the picture below where we talk to each other, we were talking about your plan to provide free medical services to the people of Paglat, and this picture was actually taken inside the building intended for the future Paglat Municipal Hospital. Alhamdulillah Bapa Mayor nakatikim ang mga tao ng Paglat ng isang leader na katulad mo, at Alhamdulillah rin sa akin dahil personal kong nakausap ang isang katulad ninyo and I feel pride that once upon a time a Maguindanaon political leader like you existed in our struggling History.
