Similarly, in ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐จ ๐๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ง๐ ๐. ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ฌ ๐ฏ. ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ง๐ฌ ๐๐ก๐จ๐, ๐๐ง๐. (๐.๐. ๐๐จ. ๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ฅ ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐), the Court emphasized that stockholders enjoy limited liability, meaning corporate debts are not their personal debts, and their property is separate from the corporationโs.
Courts may, however, "๐ฅ๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐ค๐ง๐ฅ๐ค๐ง๐๐ฉ๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐ก" in cases of fraud or misuse to hold individuals accountable.
