Foreign nationals currently in the Philippines can issue an 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲 (𝗔𝗢𝗦𝗚) for individuals traveling abroad. This document serves as a formal declaration that the foreigner will financially support and take responsibility for the traveler during their trip
💡 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲 𝗶𝘁?
A foreigner who is physically present in the Philippines.
💡 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱?
Anyone the foreigner is willing to support—commonly a partner (e.g., girlfriend/boyfriend), family member, or acquaintance traveling internationally.
💡 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲?
The affidavit assures immigration authorities that the traveler has sufficient financial backing and a responsible sponsor during their stay abroad.
📌 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀:
The affidavit must be properly notarized.
Supporting documents (such as proof of relationship and financial capacity) may be required.
Immigration officers still have the final discretion on allowing departure.
