U.S. DEA INTERDICTION: PREVENTING A NARCO STATE
In light of the brazen attempt at CROSS-BORDER shipments - including nearly 2 TONS of illicit drugs recently apprehended in Laos and the Gulf of Thailand, alongside the 73 KILOS of SHABU seized by the Bureau of Customs at the NAIA - our premier gateway is under siege.
Before we officially become a NARCO STATE, we must seriously consider calling on our long-time treaty ally, the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, to deploy the DRUG ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION (DEA) to conduct joint interdiction.
The nonchalance exhibited by the Marcos administration in addressing this serious national security concern is inscrutable.
Our authorities have not demonstrated any sincere effort to unmask the masterminds behind these blatant smuggling attempts. There are no serious investigations to track financial networks, nor any visible actions to disrupt the cartels operating with impunity in our territory.
While the U.S. DEA legally cannot operate independently or execute autonomous arrests due to national sovereignty, we need urgent intervention when our country is actively being FLOODED by MILLIONS OF GRAMS of METHAMPHETAMINE.
There is a precedent for this. The U.S. has repeatedly utilized EXTRATERRITORIAL LAW ENFORCEMENT ACTION to neutralize GLOBAL NARCOTICS THREATS - most recently demonstrated by the capture of the Venezuelan leader accused of embedding drug trafficking directly into his country’s state apparatus.
We can only wish for the same level and intensity of accountability here in our beloved country. It is time for the SOVEREIGN FILIPINO PEOPLE to leverage our international alliances to help, protect, and SAVE the PHILIPPINES from becoming the next NARCO STATE.🇵🇭
