AFC Interiors - Design, Furnish, Property & Rental Management

08/10/2026

We’re officially Airbnb Superhosts! ⭐️

A huge congratulations to our excellent Property Manager Claudia, whose work managing our portfolio of rental properties has helped AFC Interiors earn Superhost status.

From prompt guest communication and outstanding guest relations to keeping on top of maintenance, repairs, turnovers, and the countless details that come with managing a property well, Claudia has created the kind of guest experience that earns consistently excellent reviews.

It’s a big achievement, and one that reflects the standard we want for every AFC-managed property: responsive management, well-maintained homes, happy guests, and owners who know their property is being properly looked after.

Our AFC-designed properties consistently receive outstanding guest feedback — a reminder that good design isn’t only about how a property looks. It affects how people experience a space, how well it functions, and ultimately, how an investment performs.

Congratulations, Claudia — and well done to the whole AFC team. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

AFC in the Field 🐝

A team visit to Expo CAPAC is about much more than seeing what’s new.

For us, it’s a chance to connect with suppliers, explore new materials and finishes, see what’s being developed in Panama, and think creatively about how those ideas can be used in the spaces we design.

As Meredith shared:
“Visiting CAPAC was a really interesting and meaningful experience for me as an interior designer. It was exciting to see some of the projects currently being developed in Panama and to discover new suppliers, materials, and finishes that we can potentially use in our projects. It gave me new ideas and perspectives on how we can combine different finishes to create more intentional designs and bring greater value to our clients.”

It also helps AFC strengthen relationships with suppliers and discover alternatives before we need them on a live project. So when a project hits a problem like a material is unavailable, a product has a long lead time, a client wants another option, we already have a broader network and more current market knowledge to work from.

We go to stay current on materials, products, suppliers, and new solutions available in Panama — so we can make better recommendations, source smarter, and bring more options back to our clients and projects. ✅

There’s a certain hum in the AFC office when projects are really moving. 💚

Planning and executing an interior project takes far more than choosing beautiful things. There are layouts to review, materials to compare, details to confirm, suppliers to coordinate, purchases to track, budgets to manage, installations to plan, and hundreds of decisions happening behind the scenes.

Today, the office had that full “hive” feeling — everyone working through different pieces of the puzzle, sharing ideas, solving problems, and moving projects forward together.

That’s the part we love to show off: a team that is not only creative, but organized, resourceful, and genuinely invested in making sure our clients’ projects are carried through from idea to ex*****on.

And in the middle of all that activity, we also celebrated Sherry’s birthday. 🎂🥳

A busy, productive, very AFC kind of day.

Good news for anyone considering buying a new property in Panama — including international buyers and investors. 🇵🇦

Panama’s new Law 546 has restored an important tax benefit on the first sale of newly built residential properties, with the first $120,000 of the property’s taxable value exempt from the 2% Real Estate Transfer Tax (ITBI).

And the benefit isn’t limited to properties priced under $120,000 — it can also apply to the first $120,000 of higher-value qualifying purchases.

For buyers looking at Panama’s growing number of new developments, it’s another reason to take a closer look.

Of course, buying the property is just the beginning.

At AFC Interiors, we work with property owners from the moment they get the keys. 🗝 We help turn newly delivered apartments into finished, functional homes and investment properties.

From interior design, furnishing and installations to renovations and ongoing property management, our local team handles the many details that come after the sale.

Read more about the new law below. 👇

The measure eliminates the 2% tax on the first $120,000 of the taxable base and establishes tiered rates for new homes up to $200,000.

Welcome Lois to the AFC Interiors team! ✨

We’re very happy to introduce Lois Langmaid, our new Architect and Designer at AFC Interiors.

Lois is a Structural Architect and graduate of Universidad Santa María La Antigua (USMA), with several years of experience in architectural design, technical drawings, project coordination, permitting, and construction supervision.

Her experience across both residential and commercial projects gives her a strong understanding of what happens between an idea on paper and a finished space — from materials and technical documentation to site coordination and the realities of construction.

Now, Lois is bringing that technical background to AFC Interiors while expanding further into the creative side of interior design.

Lois says:

"I’m very excited to be part of AFC Interiors because I see interior design as a natural extension of architecture and an opportunity to explore the creative side of design in more detail. I’m especially excited to contribute my experience while learning from the AFC Interiors team. I’ve already found the team to be incredibly intelligent, creative, talented, and genuinely lovely to work with, which makes me even more excited about this new chapter."

And she really did jump straight in! 📐 Within days, Lois was already out on site, measuring, reviewing project details, and getting involved in the work underway.

We’re excited to have her architectural experience, technical eye, and growing interior design perspective on the AFC team — and we’re looking forward to seeing what she brings to our projects in Panama City and at the beaches. 💚

Now's a great time to invest in Panama real estate and AFC is here to help with your design and renovation plans a reality.

Great article by our friends at Panama Equity Real Estate about the Panama real estate market right now:
- New construction and well-managed newer buildings are rising in value
- Sales in the $300-$400k range sales more than doubled YoY in May 2026.
- Best appreciation potential: early price releases on a shortlist of developments.
- Rents continue to rise nearly across the board, with stronger gains in buildings less than 15 years old
- Resale gains remain highly selective by building, price range and timing.

Quick Summary Panama City's market is K-shaped: new construction and well-managed newer buildings are rising in value; older, amenity-poor properties

A beautiful review from one of our Playa Caracol clients.

Thank you, Joe, for trusting Amalia and AFC Interiors with your unit.

At AFC, we don’t just furnish and decorate. We think carefully about how a space will be used — especially when it’s an investment or rental property. Comfort, durability, guest experience, and visual appeal all matter.

We loved helping bring this Playa Caracol unit together and are so grateful for the kind words.
