Dear clients,

We would like to share an important update regarding our office and ongoing communications.

Over the past two weeks, you may have noticed delays or inconsistencies in responses from Marianna. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Unfortunately, Marianna experienced an accident two weeks ago and has since been dealing with health complications. As of today, she has been hospitalized again. While we do not share personal matters publicly, we felt it was important to communicate openly with our client community given the impact this situation may have had.

This is highly unusual for our firm, and it has been a challenging and stressful time for our entire team. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this period.

For the time being, attorney Mayra Lamboglia will be personally managing Marianna’s cases and assisting all clients. Please rest assured that your matters remain a priority, and our team is working together to ensure continuity and proper attention to every case.

We kindly ask that all communications be directed only via email to: [email protected]

At this time, we are not available through phone calls or WhatsApp, as we are also working to streamline communications and provide more efficient responses.

Thank you again for your understanding, your patience, and your continued trust in our firm. We remain hopeful and confident that Marianna will fully recover soon and return to her normal workflow.

🎉 Happy Birthday, Marianna! 🎉

Today we celebrate not only one of our attorneys, but a woman whose heart truly guides everything she does.

Marianna, your dedication to our clients, your constant evolution, and your desire to always improve — not just professionally, but personally — inspire all of us. Even at a young age, you continue to create meaningful change, approaching every challenge with sincerity, compassion, and a genuine desire to make things better.

You care deeply for your clients. You care deeply for your team. And above all, you care deeply for your family — because everything you do comes from a place of love.

Every year that passes is a blessing, not only for you, but for everyone fortunate enough to work beside you and be supported by you.

May this new chapter bring you continued growth, joy, health, and beautiful moments both inside and outside the office.

With gratitude and appreciation,
Your Lamboglia Law family 🥹✨

After a few joyful Carnival days in Panama, we’re officially back to our regular working schedule this week 🫶

We wanted to start by sharing this beautiful moment.
Laura sent us this photo to confirm that she received her E-Cedula (permanent national ID card), which we delivered to her via international courier.

Even though she’s currently in the U.S., surrounded by snow ❄️, she’s celebrating with her Panamanian ID in hand — and we know it won’t be long before she leaves the cold behind and returns to sunny, warm Panama ☀️🌴

Thank you for trusting us and for sharing your joy with us!

Let’s enjoy this new week!

Miercoles de Ceniza | Closing the Carnival Season in Panama✨

Today is Ash Wednesday, the day that officially brings Carnival in Panama to an end.

After several days filled with celebration, music, water, color, and togetherness, Ash Wednesday represents an important cultural transition. It marks the close of the festivities and the gradual return to routine. For many, it is also a day associated with reflection and balance after one of the most joyful and intense celebrations of the year.

In Las Tablas, this closing is marked by the Topón.
During the early hours of Ash Wednesday, the rival tunas of Calle Arriba and Calle Abajo face each other one final time, exchanging puyas, music, and fireworks until dawn.

Another deeply symbolic custom of this day is the Burial of the Sardine (Entierro de la Sardina).
This tradition is often carried out through a mock funeral with music, costumes, black clothing, and playful dramatization, it symbolically “buries” the excesses of the celebration and signals that the party has come to an end. While not a religious tradition, it is observed in different communities across Panama as a collective and cultural way of closing Carnival.

For many, Ash Wednesday also includes attending Mass for the imposition of ashes, marking the beginning of Lent and closing the Carnival cycle with a moment of reflection and faith.

As a family firm, owned entirely by Panamanians, we value these cultural moments and the time they create for connection, tradition, and balance.

We would like to sincerely thank all clients who reached out to us during these days. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding, and we’ll be returning to our regular schedule very soon.

We hope you enjoyed Carnival — whether in Panama or abroad — and that these days were filled with meaningful moments and great memories! 🇵🇦🎉🎊

Carnival in the River: A Penonomé Tradition! 💦

In Penonomé, Carnival is not only celebrated in the streets — it’s also lived in the river.

One of the most distinctive traditions is the raft parade, held at Las Mendozas, a well-known river bathing area located on the Río Zaratí, in the province of Coclé. This unique celebration brings together creativity, community, and Carnival spirit in a setting deeply connected to local life.

🎉What makes river Carnival special
• Decorated rafts float down the river as part of the Carnival festivities
• Families and friends gather along the riverbanks to cool off from the interior heat
• Music, food, and laughter turn the area into a natural meeting place

🌿 A tradition rooted in community and nature
Long before large stages and organized culecos, people in Penonomé celebrated Carnival by gathering at the river. The raft parade at Las Mendozas reflects the town’s strong bond with nature and its way of celebrating together, generation after generation!

Carnival Sunday in Las Tablas:
Two Streets, One Tradition! 🎊🫶

For this Carnival Sunday, we’re sharing a bit of history and tradition from one of the most recognized Carnival celebrations in Panama: Las Tablas.

Here, Carnival isn’t just a party.
It’s tradition passed down through generations.

🔥 Calle Arriba vs. Calle Abajo
Las Tablas’ Carnival is built around one of the most famous rivalries in the country:
• Calle Arriba
• Calle Abajo

Each street has its own queen, its own supporters, its own music, colors, themes, and pride. Families are born into one side or the other — and that loyalty lasts a lifetime.

👑 The Queens
Being a Carnival queen in Las Tablas is a huge honor.
• Preparation starts months (even years) in advance
• Queens wear handcrafted costumes covered in crystals, embroidery, and feathers
• Each entrance is carefully choreographed with music, lights, and symbolism
• Every night parade is a celebration of creativity and spectacle

✨ This year’s Carnival Queens
• S.M. Ana Isabel Carrizo — Calle Arriba
• S.M. Astrid Carolina Sánchez — Calle Abajo

📌 Why Las Tablas is so well known
Carnival in Las Tablas stands out for its organization, symbolism, and the way entire families and communities participate year after year. It is not only a celebration, but also an expression of local identity and cultural continuity.

Carnival Saturday in Panama! 🎊🇵🇦

Carnival in Panama dates back to the Spanish colonial era, when celebrations were held before Lent as a final moment of joy and freedom. Over time, Saturday became the official public opening of Carnival, when the festivities moved fully into the streets and everyone was invited to participate.

Historically, culecos (water celebrations) emerged as a way to cool the crowds under the tropical sun and quickly became a symbol of equality and shared celebration, uniting people of all backgrounds. As night falls, traditions influenced by European pageantry take over with parades, queens, and comparsas, especially in towns like Las Tablas.

Carnival Saturday marks the shift from anticipation to full celebration—the day Panama collectively steps into Carnival mode!!

Lovey-Dovey Couple of the Week: Nan & Guillermo 🫶

This beautiful couple has been married for 33 years, walking hand in hand toward their 34th anniversary.

They met in a very interesting way (one of those stories that makes you smile and believe a little more in fate), and honestly… it feels like life had already written their paths to cross!

Their compassion, positive outlook, and the genuine care they show for one another is something truly special. Getting to know them, hearing their stories, laughing together, and supporting them throughout their Panama visa process has been an absolute privilege for us.

Nan & Guillermo, thank you for trusting us, for sharing your journey, and for reminding us that love — when nurtured — only grows stronger with time. We truly hope this next chapter brings you a beautiful new life together here in Panama ✨

The Moment It Truly Becomes Real 🎊

Our clients traveled from Pedasí, Volcán, San Carlos, and Coronado to complete the final step of their residency journey.

Today, we proudly congratulate Darlene & Douglas, Mike & Suzanne, Peter & Magda, and Steve on obtaining their E-Cedulas — Panama’s national permanent ID 🇵🇦

The E-Cedula is much more than an ID card. It represents permanence and belonging.
It comes with meaningful benefits:
• A unique personal identification number assigned exclusively to you
• Completely independent from your passport and immigration ID
• A higher-quality, durable card that is easy to replace if ever needed

But above all, it marks that moment — when plans, patience, and trust finally turn into something tangible 🫶

We hope you enjoy Panama for everything it offers: its culture, its people, and the beautiful experiences that come with the beginning of this new chapter in your lives!!

What a beautiful way to end the week ✨

We first met Phil and Kathy back in June 2025, when this journey was just beginning. Today, months later, we finally met again in person — this time to hand them their E-Cedulas (Our national permanent ID).

Moments like this never get old — not because of the documents, but because of what they represent: future plans, laughs and a lot of excitement!

Congratulations, Phil and Kathy 😁Welcome to your new life in Panama — we’re so happy for you both!

Wishing everyone a beautiful Friday and a great weekend ahead!
