What people say at an open home is interesting.
What they do is more important.
Did they come back?
Did they ask about process?
Did they bring someone with them the second time?
Did they go quiet, or stay engaged?
These behaviours are the real signal.
The buyer who says nothing but returns twice is more serious than the buyer who loved the home out loud and was never seen again.
Reading behaviour correctly, and translating that into useful advice for the seller, is one of the most important things a good agent does.
This week's Journal is about what buyer activity is quietly telling us, and how to read it.
