Buying your first home is a huge milestone, and while it's exciting, it can also be extremely daunting.
Here are 3 things I wish first home buyers knew before starting the process:
1️⃣ Ask the questions!
There will be a team of professionals working alongside you through this journey. Every one of them aware of how daunting it can be for a first home buyer so there are no silly questions. You are making one of the biggest financial decisions of your life. If something doesn't quite make sense, just ask. ☺️
2️⃣ Don't sign anything you don't understand.
The Sale and Purchase Agreement is a legally binding document. Make sure you understand what you're agreeing to before you sign.
3️⃣ Get your conveyancer involved earlier, rather than later.
Contacting your conveyancer at the start of the process can save you a lot from the time pressure that comes once the Sale and Purchase agreement is signed. Having your conveyancer review your agreement before you sign will also assure you have all the right conditions and timeframes to protect you.
🏡 Buying your first home is a journey and having the right advice at the right time can make all the difference to your experience.
