A great day at the Bay of Plenty Young Grower 🌱 competition last Friday - it was interesting to see the very varied skill sets that these young leaders demonstrated over the many challenges by sponsors. Beautiful weather, lots of learning about our horticulture industry, and some painfully slow digger driving by our marketing manager. Well done to all the competitors!

Today is Shorts4Hospice, and our team showed up in shorts to help ensure Waipuna Hospice can keep showing up for people in our community when they need it most.

Waipuna Hospice provides essential care and support to those facing life‑limiting illness, as well as their families and loved ones. Serving from Waihi Beach to Paengaroa, their team delivers compassionate home care, alongside inpatient and outpatient services. Taking part in Shorts4Hospice is one of the many ways to support this wonderful organisation.

The Hobec Amazing Race.
Our grads have wrapped up their induction programme, and to celebrate we set them loose on a fast-paced Amazing Race around Tauranga. Solving a series of clues, visiting key landmarks and... testing out the playground, it was a great way to put their teamwork to the test.
Congrats to the winners, Ivy and Alysha - completed in under 30 minutes!

On Sunday, a group of Hobec ladies attended the Massage After Miscarriage Aotearoa annual fundraising afternoon tea.

MAMA does amazing work nurturing women through the heartbreak of pregnancy and infant loss, and we’re proud to support Michelle and the MAMA mission in a number of ways.

It was a beautiful and inspiring afternoon, and we were thrilled to hear that an incredible $20,886 was raised to help continue the care and compassion MAMA provides to women across Aotearoa.
