We bring top-tier capability with a grounded, regional approach. At Sharp Tudhope we have been upholding legal excellence for over a century. Generations of families and businesses have trusted us to act as their legal advocates for 125 years, and as the world has changed, so have we. Our ability to continually grow and evolve is what sets us apart. We are proud to have a team of professionals who

se thinking is unrivalled and whose practices are constantly being renewed. As a respected leader in our field we take our responsibility seriously and ensure that our lawyers are at the forefront of developments and best practice in their fields of expertise. We are a founding member of Lawlink Group, which offers us access to a nationwide network of exceptional legal talent. Our office is the first green star-rated building in this city, officially recognised for its environmentally sustainable design, benefitting the health and well-being of our staff and clients. We have been applauded for our business leadership and commitment to the community with this, and many other projects, but these traits are not new territory for us. We have been utilising the same principle of putting our clients' needs first ever since we started, and this is part of the ethos that underpins our success as Tauranga's most respected law firm.

After nearly four decades with Sharp Tudhope Lawyers, Alasdair Christie has retired, bringing to a close an outstanding 39-year career with the firm.

Alasdair was admitted to the bar in 1983, and joined Sharp Tudhope in 1987, building a highly respected practice in property law. Alasdair became a partner in 1995, a role he held for 27 years, contributing significantly to the firm’s growth and reputation, before transitioning to a consultancy position in 2022.

“Alasdair has been an integral part of Sharp Tudhope’s success over the past 40 years. His willingness to mentor the next generation of lawyers and his commitment to the local community will be felt for years to come.” – Matthew Billett, Chair of Partners.

We celebrated Alasdair’s retirement with a gathering of staff, clients, and his family and friends, marking the occasion in style.

Alasdair’s presence in the office will be greatly missed, and the Sharp Tudhope team thanks him for his immense contribution to the firm and his service to the local community over the last four decades.

We wish him all the very best for the years ahead, thank you, Alasdair.

Our team had a great day at the 2026 Papamoa Rotary, Bluehaven and Mitre 10 Charity Golf Tournament on Friday.

Thankfully the rain held off and alongside our players, we were set up at the 11th hole, keeping teams refreshed and entertained as they made their way around the course 🏌️‍♀️
