Gagan Tangri – Partner
Gagan specialises in construction law and residential property matters, with additional experience in commercial and trust law. Leading the residential property team, he provides practical, holistic advice and focuses on building long-term client relationships.
Sarah Hagenson – Partner
Sarah leads the Family and Relationship Property team, advising on care of children and guardianship disputes, family violence, relationship property division, and asset protection. A lead legal aid provider, Sarah brings extensive family law experience and a strong problem-solving approach.
Taufil Omar – Special Counsel
With more than 20 years of legal experience, Taufil specialises in trusts, estate planning, asset protection, elder law, property, and business matters. He advises clients on trusts, wills, enduring powers of attorney, property transactions, and succession planning, with a particular interest in charitable trusts.
Kim Hoods – Solicitor
Kim is a member of the Family and Relationship Property team, advising on all family law matters. Her background in the District Courts and Community Law Centre has shaped her trauma-informed, client-focused approach, helping clients feel supported while working towards the best possible outcomes.
Petrea Parkhill – Senior Associate
Petrea built her legal career in South Auckland and Hamilton, gaining experience across general law with a strong focus on property law, including residential sales and purchases, refinances, and transfers to trusts and companies. She later moved to Auckland CBD to expand her expertise in commercial and commercial property law. Petrea is passionate about building lasting client relationships and helping clients understand and use the law to their advantage.
Jess Wilkinson – Solicitor
Jess began her career at a boutique Auckland firm before joining Franklin Law's litigation team in 2023 and later transitioning to the commercial team. Her litigation background gives her a practical, analytical approach to commercial matters, including negotiations, contract drafting, and dispute resolution. Jess is committed to protecting her clients' interests and achieving the best possible outcomes.
Nicky Brooks – Solicitor
Nicky joined the Family Team as a Legal Assistant in June 2025. After completing her LLB in January 2025, she was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court in September 2025. Nicky is committed to supporting clients, building strong relationships, and providing tailored legal advice.
Preeti Gounder – Solicitor
Preeti joined the Family Law Team as a Law Clerk in February 2025 while completing her Professional Legal Studies. She completed her LLB in November 2024 and was admitted in July 2025. Prior to joining Franklin Law, she spent three years clerking for a family law barrister, gaining valuable family law experience. Preeti is passionate about advocating for families and promoting access to justice.
Melissa Bourke – Registered Legal Executive
Melissa specialises in residential property transactions and refinancing, as well as private client matters including trust administration, wills, and enduring powers of attorney. She is passionate about delivering exceptional service and exceeding client expectations.
Sina Maunsell-Young – Registered Legal Executive
Sina began her legal career as a Legal Assistant in 2021, focusing on residential property transactions, and completed her Diploma in Legal Executive Studies in July 2023. She takes pride in building strong client relationships, supporting the Franklin community, and providing timely, professional service.
