Last Thursday Franklin Law (New Zealand) was pleased to be invited to speak at a recent Land Development Seminar in Newmarket, alongside McKenzie & Co. and Goldsmith Mortgages.
Our solicitor, Ariel Shuyin Ma, shared Franklin Law’s perspective on the legal considerations involved in land development, providing attendees with practical insights into an important part of the development process.
The seminar also featured Johnny Ma from Goldsmith Mortgages, who discussed the financial considerations involved in development, and Wei Zhang from McKenzie & Co., who covered the engineering aspects.
Bringing together legal, financial and engineering perspectives provided a valuable opportunity to look at land development from all sides — from understanding the legal framework and funding considerations through to the practical engineering requirements of a project.
The presentations were followed by a Q&A session and networking, with some great questions and discussions around development opportunities, challenges and the importance of having the right professional advice from the outset.
