🎙️ Speaking up on the ongoing Student Visa Declines for Indian Nationals 🇮🇳🇳🇿

I had the opportunity to speak on Radio Spice about the growing concerns surrounding student visa declines for Indian nationals, affecting both offshore applicants and those already in New Zealand.

Having personally handled thousands of student visa applications over the years, I have serious concerns about the way genuine student applications are being assessed by Immigration New Zealand (INZ).

How can profiles that were considered genuine and approved by INZ in the past now be deemed non-genuine?

Every application deserves a fair, consistent and objective assessment based on its individual merits. While I acknowledge that INZ has a responsibility to maintain the integrity of the immigration system, genuine students should not be unfairly disadvantaged by inconsistent assessments.

This is not just about visa approvals. It is about students’ futures, families’ investments, and New Zealand’s reputation as a destination for international education.

🎙️ Immigration & Migrant Safety - Let’s Talk About the Issues That Matter! 🇳🇿

I had the opportunity to be part of this episode, where I got to ask direct questions to a representative of the National Party about immigration policies and the safety and well-being of migrants in New Zealand.

As someone who has spent over 15 years in New Zealand and worked closely with migrants and international students, I believe it is important to raise the concerns that matter to our communities and seek clear answers from those shaping immigration policy.

Immigration is not just about visas and policies, it’s about people, families, livelihoods, and futures. Every migrant deserves to be treated fairly, with dignity, respect, and a sense of security.

🇳🇿 New Zealand wants to grow its international education sector. But are our student visa outcomes aligned with that ambition?

In my latest opinion piece published by Indian Newslink, I examine the growing concerns surrounding student visa outcomes for Indian applicants and what these trends could mean for New Zealand’s international education ambitions.

📊 With the student visa approval rate for Indian offshore applicants reportedly falling to 49.3% in 2026, important questions need to be asked.

Are we doing enough to provide genuine students with confidence in the visa assessment process?

While robust immigration checks are essential, transparency, consistency and procedural fairness must remain at the heart of every visa decision.

New Zealand cannot aspire to become a leading international education destination while overlooking the concerns of prospective students, their families and education providers.

As a Licensed Immigration Adviser, I believe this conversation deserves serious attention from policymakers, Immigration New Zealand and the wider education sector.

12 years of Kiwiana. ❤️

Today was a very special day for us.

What started 12 years ago as a venture with just one person has grown into a family of almost 50 people, united by the same passion — helping people build better futures in New Zealand.

Tonight, we had another proud moment as Kiwiana Immigration was named a finalist for Excellence in Marketing at the 2degrees Auckland Business Awards. 🏆

We didn’t take home the award tonight, but simply reaching this stage among so many incredible Auckland businesses is an achievement we are incredibly proud of.

For me, the biggest highlight was not the award itself — it was looking around and seeing our amazing team celebrating this journey together. Every late night, every client success, every challenge overcome and every milestone has been a collective effort.

12 years down. And the journey continues.

To our clients, partners, associates and, most importantly, our incredible Kiwiana family — thank you for believing in us and growing with us.

Here’s to 12 years of trust, growth and making a difference — and to everything that lies ahead. 🥂💙

Growing stronger together.

🇳🇿💚 Happy Father’s Day

Behind every father who makes the journey to New Zealand, there is often a bigger dream — a better future for his family.

Leaving behind what is familiar, starting again in a new country, working hard, and building a life from the ground up… all for the next generation. ❤️

Because sometimes, the biggest reason a dad chooses New Zealand isn’t for himself — it’s for his kids.

This Father’s Day, we celebrate all the dads who have made sacrifices, taken brave steps and crossed borders to create stronger families and brighter tomorrows. 🇳🇿

Happy Father’s Day from the Kiwiana Immigration family! 💚
