‼️UPDATE‼️
"Group and Tour Es**rt visitor visa applications have now moved to Immigration New Zealand’s enhanced Immigration Online system. If you are applying for one of these visas, there are some important things you need to know.

Immigration New Zealand’s ambition is to provide a trusted and effective immigration service. Last year, we began the Our Future Services programme to accelerate us towards that goal.

Over the course of the programme, we will move all visa applications onto our enhanced Immigration Online platform. We first introduced this platform in 2021 and have already moved several visa categories onto it including international student visas, visitor visas, Accredited Employer Work Visa and Permanent Resident Visa.

We are aiming to deliver a simpler, faster and more user-friendly visa application process to reduce waiting times, provide clear communication on application status, and increase self-service capabilities so everyone feels more informed and better supported. "

"From 1 October 2026, applications for selected visitor and transit visas must be submitted through Immigration New Zealand's (INZ) enhanced Immigration Online system.

If you currently use paper application forms for any of these visas, there are some important things you need to know.

Over recent years, we have progressively moved visa application and processing into enhanced Immigration Online. Today, most visitor visa and all transit visa applications can be submitted online through the enhanced system.

Moving applications online makes it easier for customers to apply and track their applications, while helping us focus on providing a more efficient and effective application process."

New Travel Document Support for Former Refugees Arriving in Aoteatora!!

Get in touch with our Immigration team today 😊🇳🇿

"From July 2026, eligible refugees arriving in New Zealand through the Refugee Quota Programme will be supported to apply for a secure and internationally recognised refugee travel document, helping to support their settlement and future travel needs.

Immigration New Zealand (INZ) and the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) are working together to improve access to travel documents for former refugees, making it easier for them to participate in everyday life and stay connected with opportunities overseas.

People arriving in New Zealand through the Refugee Quota Programme who do not have valid travel documents are currently issued an INZ Certificate of Identity to help them travel safely to New Zealand. This document plays an important role in supporting their journey to New Zealand.

From July 2026, we have started supporting eligible refugees aged 16 and over who arrive through the Refugee Quota Programme to apply for a Refugee Travel Document after they arrive in New Zealand. Refugee Travel Documents cannot be issued overseas, so the INZ Certificate of Identity will continue to be used for refugees’ initial travel to New Zealand if they don’t have a valid travel document.

Refugee Travel Documents are a secure, passport-like travel document issued by DIA to support international travel after their initial arrival in New Zealand. It is a more secure travel document with wider international recognition and a longer period of validity, giving former refugees greater confidence and flexibility when proving their identity or travelling.

This change will help former refugees access a travel document that better meets their needs, supports their settlement in New Zealand and makes it easier to travel, access services and participate in their communities. It reflects New Zealand’s ongoing commitment to supporting refugees as they build their lives here." Published on the 21st of July from INZ.

If you’ve been unsure about what applies to your situation, we’re here to help—comment “MYTHS” or message Pier Law to schedule a consult🤝

Growth category investors will soon be able to include a small amount of philanthropy as part of their investment.

The Government today announced a targeted change to the Active Investor Plus Visa to support high value investment.

From 1 June 2026, new applicants in the Growth category will be able to include philanthropy, capped at 20 percent of their total investment.

This keeps the focus on investments that grow New Zealand’s economy, while allowing a small portion to support eligible charities and conservation projects.

Safeguards will ensure philanthropic investments are genuine, meet eligibility requirements, and do not personally benefit applicants.

More information, including the Minister’s announcement, is available on the Immigration New Zealand website.
