Sainsbury Logan & Williams are proud to formally introduce you to Caleb Hensman, the newest partner in our Property Team.

Caleb is a property and construction law specialist, with particular experience in sale and purchase transactions, development and construction projects, and commercial leasing. Caleb also practices in trusts, succession and estate planning.

Caleb was previously a partner at Russell McVeagh in Auckland before joining the partnership of Sainsbury Logan & Williams in February 2022. Caleb will be taking on the bulk of retired Partner Steve Greer’s work.

Born and bred in Hawke's Bay, Caleb is happy to have returned to his old stomping ground with his young family in tow.

What an innings!

Yesterday marked Steve Greer’s last day as a Partner at Sainsbury Logan & Williams. Steve joined Sainsbury Logan & Williams fresh out of Law School in 1980 and was made partner a mere 4 years later. An incredible career in law saw Steve act for numerous rural and commercial clients, concentrating on the areas of agribusiness, trusts, asset protection, finance, sales and acquisitions and taxation. Steve has managed an unbelievable work load over the years and has been the absolute engine room of our Property Team.

Steve attributed his long and successful career to the relationships he has built with his clients and being able to work with them to solve problems. Steve said the positive feedback that he has received after news of his retirement circulated has been truly humbling.

Steve will be staying on as a Consultant at the firm to assist clients with the transfer to another member of our team. We are also very fortunate to have secured Caleb Hensman as the newest partner in our Property Team. Caleb will be taking over the bulk of Steve’s clients – more on Caleb to follow.

We can’t thank Steve enough for his contribution to Sainsbury Logan & Williams, your presence and expertise will be truly missed.

Krishneel moved to Napier in 2022 after gaining experience with law firms in Auckland and Fiji. He specialises in civil litigation, employment and public law matters.
