🌺 Happy Samoan Language Week 2026 🌺

This week we celebrate Samoan Language Week and recognise the importance of preserving and sharing language, culture, and traditions across generations.

This year's theme, "E afua mai i mauga tetele manuia o le nu’u – From the high mountains are the blessings from the village," reminds us that the strength of our communities is built on the values, wisdom, and sacrifices of those who came before us.

At Denham Bramwell, we are proud to celebrate the rich contribution of Samoan culture and the diversity that strengthens our workplace and community.

To mark the occasion, our team enjoyed some delicious Samoan favourites including panikeke, keke mamoe, and koko Samoa.

Our team came together last week to raise funds for Breast Cancer Foundation NZ through a bake sale, raffle and QR code donations.

A big thank you to everyone who baked, donated, bought raffle tickets and contributed to a cause that touches so many families in our communities.

We’re pleased to welcome Aarushi Kumar to the family law team at Denham Bramwell Lawyers.

Based in our Manukau office, Aarushi works across a range of family law matters, including care of children, relationship property, family violence, child support, and spousal maintenance. She joins us with previous experience in trust, estate, and family law.

Last week, members of our family law team visited the team at Eastern Women's Refuge Tāmaki Makaurau at their new community space in Howick.

Thank you to the Refuge for welcoming us and for the important work you do supporting women, children and whānau in our community.

We’re proud to work alongside the Refuge and support the women who come through the service, including assisting with urgent Parenting Orders and Protection Orders where needed.

It was a valuable morning of connection, collaboration and shared commitment to supporting families through difficult times.
