๐Ÿ“ข INZ LATEST UPDATE FOR AEWV APPLICANTS ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ’ผ

Important change for people planning to apply for an Accredited Employer Work Visa in a skill level 3 role.

From 1 June 2026, English language requirements will also apply to AEWV skill level 3 occupations.

In simple language, this means if you are applying for a new AEWV in a skill level 3 role, you may need to show basic everyday English through:
โœ… an acceptable English test result
or
โœ… accepted evidence based on your citizenship, work or study

There is also an exemption for some people whose current AEWV expires on or before 1 December 2026 and who apply for a further AEWV in a skill level 3 role before their visa expires.

If you are unsure whether this update affects your job or visa plans, it is best to get proper advice before applying.

KIES can help you understand the new rule and prepare your application the right way ๐Ÿ’™

Two Laid-Back Legends: Is New Zealand or Australia the More Relaxed Country?

When people dream about peaceful lifestyles, beautiful nature, and friendly people, two countries often come to mind: New Zealand and Australia. Both nations are famous for outdoor living, work-life balance, and easygoing cultures. But if you had to choose one country as the most relaxed, which would it be?

New Zealand is often described as calm, peaceful, and deeply connected to nature. Life there moves at a slower pace compared to many parts of the world. Small towns, green hills, quiet beaches, and mountain views create an atmosphere that feels far away from stress. Many people in New Zealand enjoy spending time outdoors, whether hiking, fishing, camping, or simply relaxing near lakes and forests. The countryโ€™s smaller population also means less traffic, less crowding, and a quieter lifestyle in many areas.

The culture in New Zealand also plays a big role in its relaxed reputation. Kiwis are known for being friendly, humble, and welcoming. There is less focus on showing wealth or status, and people often value family time, mental wellbeing, and nature more than fast-paced competition. Even in cities like Auckland or Wellington, the atmosphere usually feels calmer than many major world cities.

Australia, on the other hand, has its own version of relaxed living. Aussies are famous worldwide for their laid-back attitude and love of fun. Beach culture is a huge part of daily life in cities such as Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth. Weekends are often spent surfing, barbecuing, watching sports, or enjoying the sunshine with friends. The warm climate encourages outdoor activities almost all year round, giving Australia a carefree and energetic vibe.

Australian cities are generally larger and busier than those in New Zealand, but they still maintain a more relaxed feeling compared to places like London, Tokyo, or New York. Australians often value work-life balance, and many workplaces encourage flexible lifestyles and outdoor recreation. The famous phrase โ€œNo worriesโ€ perfectly reflects the countryโ€™s attitude toward life.

However, the type of relaxation differs between the two countries. New Zealand offers a peaceful, nature-focused calmness. It feels like a place where people escape stress and reconnect with the environment. Australiaโ€™s relaxation is more social and energetic, centered around beaches, sports, and sunny lifestyles.

Another difference is the pace of city life. Australian cities are larger, faster, and more economically competitive. New Zealand cities tend to feel smaller and less intense. For someone seeking quiet living and scenic beauty, New Zealand may feel more relaxing. For someone who enjoys sunshine, social activities, and outdoor excitement, Australia may seem more laid-back.

In the end, both countries are among the most relaxed places on Earth, but in different ways. New Zealand offers peace, tranquility, and connection with nature, while Australia provides warmth, fun, and a carefree spirit. The real answer depends on what relaxation means to you. Whether it is the calm mountains of New Zealand or the sunny beaches of Australia, both countries remind the world that life should be enjoyed, not rushed.
