A STRAIGHTFORWARD JOB BUT AN IMPORTANT ONE!

This week our team replaced a damaged toilet at a school in Merivale, Christchurch.

When essential facilities are out of service in a school or commercial property, the priority is getting them operational again with as little disruption as possible.

The old toilet was removed, the replacement installed, and the facility was back in service.

It’s the kind of day-to-day maintenance work that makes up a big part of what we do across Christchurch — keeping the properties our customers look after functioning properly.

Not every hot water cylinder replacement is straightforward!

Matt was on the tools in Christchurch today, tackling a cylinder replacement in a particularly tight cupboard.

His first message back to us? “She’s a tight squeeze!” 😂

And with very little room to manoeuvre, it was a job for the jack!

It's all part of the challenge of maintenance plumbing. Every property is different, and sometimes getting the old cylinder out is half the battle.

A burst water pipe underneath a driveway! 💦

Not all plumbing problems are easy to spot — and sometimes the biggest problems are hidden underground.

Our MJR team was called out to a property this week in Cashmere, Christchurch, where a leaking underground water pipe needed urgent attention.

The job involved:

🔹 Locating the source of the leak
🔹 Excavating a section of the driveway to access the damaged pipe
🔹 Repairing the damaged pipework
🔹 Restoring the water supply
