This morning, we brought together members of the Auckland legal community for an exclusive breakfast discussion at The Northern Club.

A highlight of our events calendar, the Auckland Breakfast featured an address from Hon Paul Goldsmith, Minister of Justice, on the justice-sector priorities currently shaping New Zealand's legal and policy landscape. President, Tony Herring opened proceedings before the floor was opened for a Q&A with the Minister.

A big thank you to Hon Paul Goldsmith for making the time to engage with the Auckland legal community.

Don't miss this practical CPD session with Ashleigh Watt, Principal at Simpson Western, exploring the growing complexities of modern will drafting.

With blended families, later-life relationships, complex asset structures, and cross-jurisdictional considerations becoming increasingly common, practitioners need to be equipped to identify and address complexity early to ensure wills are structured effectively and stand up to scrutiny.

This session will examine how complexity arises in will instructions, how to navigate challenging client conversations, and how to prepare clear and robust testamentary documentation that reduces the risk of future disputes.
