Don’t Take Life Too Seriously

After last month’s slightly more serious edition, I thought it was time to lighten things up.

And it got me thinking about something I probably need to remind myself of as much as anyone:

Don’t take life too seriously.

Of course, we need to take our responsibilities seriously — our families, our work, our health, our finances and the people we care about.

But sometimes we forget that we're actually supposed to enjoy the ride too.

We spend so much time worrying about yesterday, tomorrow, what other people think, whether we made the right decision or whether we said the wrong thing.

Meanwhile… today is quietly passing us by.

I’ve certainly been guilty of it.

Sometimes I can spend an entire day analysing a problem from every possible angle, coming up with five different solutions — only to realise I probably should have just gone for a walk and had a coffee!

My Two Cents:
Take your responsibilities seriously.
Take care of the people you love.
But don’t take yourself too seriously.

Have a laugh. Make some memories. Surround yourself with good people.

And every now and then, stop worrying about the destination and enjoy the journey.

That’s my two cents this month.
