From August 2026, there will be new residence pathways, reduced NZ work experience requirements, more points for studying locally, and simpler wage requirements.

🚨 NEW ZEALAND PROPOSES TO TOUGHEN DEPORTATION RULES 🚨

The Government has introduced a proposed amendment to the Immigration Act 2009 aimed at strengthening deportation measures for those who do not comply with their visa conditions. 📌 This is not yet in force and will be opened for discussion in Parliament.

What would change if approved? ⚖️ Deportation of residents who commit serious crimes extended up to 20 years. ⚠️ Stricter rules for visas granted by mistake and non-compliance with conditions. 💻 Deportation notices could be issued electronically, among other changes.

🌟 NEW TEMPORARY VISAS TO WORK IN NEW ZEALAND!🌟

Starting 8 December 2025, the Government will introduce two new visas to help employers fill peak seasonal jobs:

➡️ Global Workforce Seasonal Visa (GWSV) – for skilled seasonal roles, valid up to 3 years.
➡️ Peak Seasonal Visa (PSV) – for entry-level or lower-skilled roles, valid up to 7 months.

These visas make it easier for accredited employers to hire workers during seasonal peaks.

⚠️ Remember, jobs must be genuinely seasonal, and each visa has specific requirements.
