From German seed fields to Czech cellars: what a day on the Carrfields 50th Anniversary Tour! 🌾🍺

The morning took us to Herzogenaurach, where Martin Breun welcomed the group to Josef Breun Seeds for a fascinating look at generations of plant breeding expertise. Thank you to the Breun team for their hospitality and a wonderful lunch.

Then it was over the border to Pilsen for a tour of the legendary Pilsner Urquell brewery, birthplace of the golden lager, followed by a fantastic dinner at Na Spilce hosted by our friends at HORSCH, before heading to Prague for the night.

Day 2 & 3 of the Europe Trip took the team to the HORSCH headquarters in Schwandorf, Germany, gaining a behind-the-scenes look at one of the world's leading agricultural machinery manufacturers. Included was a factory tour, product presentations, field demonstrations, and the opportunity to meet with Michael Horsch to discuss the future of farming and agricultural innovation.

These hybrid canola crops are heading into winter in excellent shape, with strong establishment and the benefits of a warm autumn clearly showing across the region.

A credit to the growers who have done the hard work to set these crops up for success.

We're looking forward to seeing how they progress through the season.

What an incredible start to our Europe trip! ✨

Day 1 took us behind the scenes at the AGCO Fendt IDEAL combine Factory in Breganze - a fascinating look at the engineering and innovation that goes into every machine. From there, we headed to the historic Marzotto Group textile mill, where craftsmanship and heritage truly come to life from beautiful NZ merino wool.

Carrfields are proud to present an overview of our strongest dairy season on record. Throughout the 2025/26 season, records were broken time and time again as new benchmarks were set and achieved!

This season we:
✨ Broke and set a new Australasian record for the highest single-vendor sale average of $12,330
✨ Achieved the highest sale price of the season, with one dairy cow reaching $40,000 for Lawwal A2P2 Miranda P-ET VG89-MAX
✨ Consigned a record number of Dairy Stud Sales across the Autumn Sale Season, with the majority utilising our marketing platforms and Carrfields managing 100% of sale preparations
✨ Achieved a record number of Forward Dairy Contracts
✨ Significantly expanded our client base, welcomed new team members, and formed valuable professional partnerships
✨ And most importantly, worked alongside our valued buyers and sellers to deliver exceptional results time and time again
As we look ahead to the 2026/27 season — a milestone year celebrating 50 years of Carrfields — we’re excited for what lies ahead.

Another outstanding turnout at the Riverton Clearing Sale held on Tuesday, 26 May.

As the morning mist settles across the country and the last of the stock trucks roll out, it’s clear that Rural Moving Day is wrapping up for another season. For many farmers, this past weekend has marked a major milestone, with both people and animals relocating for the new season. 🚛🌾

At Carrfields, we understand just how much planning, coordination, and energy goes into a big move, and we’ve got your back! Throughout the long weekend and beyond, our Livestock Representatives have been on the ground nationwide, working closely with farmers, transporters, and processors to ensure everything runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
