Important update for students and parents planning to study in the UK ЁЯЗмЁЯЗз
You may have heard that Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) has had its Student Sponsor Licence suspended by the Home Office. I've spent the last day trying to understand what this really means, so let me share it clearly.
A suspension is not the same as a revocation. BNU has the opportunity to respond to the Home Office, and the university has said it will challenge some aspects of the findings. But the situation is serious, because for now BNU cannot issue new CAS for students who need a Student visa.
What this means for you:
тЬЕ If you were planning for the January 2027 intake, BNU has informed its partners that this intake will not go ahead. Please review your alternatives with your counsellor.
тЬЕ If you already have an offer or a CAS, check your situation with your counsellor and don't make decisions based on rumours.
тЬЕ Wait for official updates from BNU and the Home Office. It's too early to assume the worst, and too early to ignore it.
As an authorised recruitment representative of BNU, I'm cautiously hopeful but fully alert. This situation has also reminded me that UKVI compliance is getting stricter. Choosing a university and preparing a student profile now needs careful thought: academic background, genuine study intention, financial credibility and visa history all matter.
I'll keep following this case and share only verified updates.
Parents and students, if you have questions about your own application, comment below or send me a message. I'm happy to help. ЁЯЩП
