A total of 622 government vehicles used illegally by employees and officials have been returned to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers following a directive issued on Baisakh 10, 2083.

The order required all ministries and agencies to immediately return vehicles being used in violation of the law.

The government has now restricted individual use of official vehicles to only authorized officials, while allowing shared use when necessary. A study is also underway to assess the financial burden caused by such misuse.

तराई र विशेष गरी मिथिलाञ्चलको समृद्ध संस्कृतिको प्रतीक मानिने जुड शीतल पर्व प्रकृति, स्वास्थ्य र आत्मीयताको अनुपम संगम हो। विक्रम संवतको नयाँ वर्षको दोस्रो दिन मनाइने यस पर्वले बढ्दो गर्मीमा शीतलता र शान्तिको सन्देश दिन्छ। यस दिन घरका ज्येष्ठ सदस्यहरूले आफूभन्दा सानाको टाउकोमा पानी छर्केर "जुराउने" अर्थात् मस्तिष्क शीतल रहोस् र जीवनमा सफलता मिलोस् भनी आशीर्वाद दिने गर्दछन्। धार्मिक र सांस्कृतिक रूपमा मात्र नभई यो पर्व वातावरणीय दृष्टिले पनि उत्तिकै महत्त्वपूर्ण छ; यस दिन मानिसहरूले रुखबिरुवामा पानी हाल्ने र बाटोघाटोमा जल छर्कने गर्छन्, जसले प्रकृतिसँगको गहिरो सम्बन्धलाई दर्शाउँछ। खानपानको सवालमा पनि यो पर्व विशेष छ, जहाँ अघिल्लो दिन नै पकाइएको 'बडी-भात' जस्ता बासी र शीतल परिकारहरू खाइन्छ, जसले गर्मीको मौसममा शरीरको तापक्रम सन्तुलनमा राख्न मद्दत गर्छ भन्ने विश्वास गरिन्छ।

"नयाँ वर्षको आगमनसँगै तराईको आँगनमा खुसी र शीतलता भित्र्याउने पावन पर्व जुड शीतलको अवसरमा तपाईं र तपाईंको सम्पूर्ण परिवारमा हार्दिक शुभकामना व्यक्त गर्दछु। ज्येष्ठ नागरिकको आशीर्वादले शिर जुराओस्, आपसी भाइचारा र सद्भाव अझ गाढा बनोस्, र यो प्रचण्ड गर्मीमा सबैको जीवन जल जस्तै शीतल र निर्मल रहोस्। मिथिला संस्कृतिको यो अमूल्य धरोहरले हामी सबैमा सुख, शान्ति र सुस्वास्थ्य प्रदान गरोस्। जुड शीतलको धेरै धेरै शुभकामना!"

Crossed NRs 3 lakh Again !! Gold prices in Nepal have sharply risen above Rs 3 lakh per tola, increasing by Rs 2,900 in a day to reach Rs 3,02,700, while silver climbed to Rs 5,220.

Nepal Oil Corporation has projected a loss of NRs 7.81 arba in just 15 days due to higher import costs from the Indian Oil Corporation and lower domestic selling prices of petroleum products.

The corporation reported significant losses in LPG, diesel, petrol, and kerosene, while noting slight profit in aviation fuel exports and stating that prices will be adjusted in line with international market trends.
