This week, we celebrate International Women’s Day.
Long before SMITS existed, we used to joke about starting a business together. The names changed over the years — Laboco, Bococo? — but the idea of building something side by side was always there.
When we stepped into real estate together, some people questioned whether it was wise. Working with your sister can be unpredictable. For us, it became a clear advantage. We understand each other’s strengths, we trust them and we lead without trying to be the same.
One focuses on strategy and sales, the other on structure, management and the operational backbone of the company. Different perspectives, equal responsibility.
Building SMITS has never been about standing out for the sake of it. It has been about doing the work properly, staying accessible and making choices that fit who we are, including knowing when to step back and protect balance.
On March 8th, we recognize the women in this industry who build and lead in their own way.
And we are a proud to be part of that story.
