“BERLIN, Sept 9 (Reuters) - Germany's government announced temporary border controls at all of the country's land borders on Monday in what it called an attempt to tackle irregular migration and protect the public from threats such as Islamist extremism.
The controls will start on Sept. 16 and initially last for six months, the interior ministry said in a statement.
"We are strengthening internal security and continuing our hard line against irregular migration," Interior Minister Nancy Faeser said.”

MAHALAGANG IMPORMASYON PARA SA LAHAT NG FILIPINO NA PATUNGONG PILIPINAS NA DARAAN SA AMSTERDAM SCHIPOL AIRPORT

Dahil sa kawalan ng katiyakan sa pagpapasya ng airlines, airports o iba pang kinauukulan tungkol sa paglalakbay patungong Maynila na nagdulot pagkansela na syang nagbunga ng pagkabahala at pagkakalagay sa alanganing sitwastyon sa mga manlalakbay na Pilipino na dumaraan ng Amsterdam, pinapayuhan ng Embahada ng Pilipinas ang mga sumusunod na kurso na aksyon:

1. Ang lahat ng mga manlalakbay na Pilipino ay dapat tiyakin na kumpirmado ang lahat ng kanilang byahe o ang lahat ng kanilang connecting flights.

2. Mangyaring mag-apply ng Schengen Visa kung ang iyong lay-over sa Amsterdam ay 4 na oras o higit pa. Mangyaring ring mag-apply ng visa sa bansa na kung saan sila ay mayroong lay-over.

3. Magdala ng impormasyon ng inyong travel agents, manning agency/shipping agency para sa ating mga seafarers at iba pang impormasyon sa pakikipag-ugnay sa kung sino ang tatawagin kung sakaling makansela o maantala ang mga flight.

4. Maaari makipag-ugnay sa embahada sa email address: [email protected]; sa Telepono +31.652.611.079 para sa impormasyon at tulong.

5. Pinapayuhan ng Embahada ang lahat na magsagawa lamang ng mahahalagang paglalakbay at antalahin ang di-mahahalagang paglalakbay sa ibang araw.

Due to covid pandemic, lodging an application by third country nationals (e.g. Pinoys) for a short-stay Schengen visa (business, leisure or visiting a family) to visit NL is still not possible. This is considered as non-essential travel and EU proposed an entry ban extended until 30 June 2020. VFS appointment system in the Ph are still closed until further notice.

Exceptions:
1. application by persons with essential function (e.g. health care provider)
2. compelling reasons to visit a family member
conditions:
a. terminally ill or attending a funeral or a partner
attending the delivery of his wife;
b. within 1st (parents, children) or 2nd (grandparents,
grandchildren) degree relationship; and
c. proof of relationship through documentation.
