Some things to look out for as a tenant in a tenancy agreement:

* Your name, the landlord's name and the address of the property;

*The date your tenancy begins and how long it will run for;

* Who's responsible for what repairs and general maintenance of the property;

*That all payments made or to be made in respect of the apartment are contained in the agreement;

* That there's no clause that takes away your right to be issued a quit notice;

* That there's a clause that says that there shall be no form of disturbance or interference from the landlord or any third party;

* That there's a clause that requires the landlord to give you adequate notice before the landlord or his agent can enter the rented property for any purpose.

* Any particular rule that might seem unfair and make it difficult for you to live in the property.

Don't forget to consult your lawyer before you sign the agreement.
