Yesterday the Students Bar Council held its first Conferment Ceremony for Senior Advocates of the Faculty and we had the honour of having three of our own that were elevated to this Prestigious Rank of Senior Advocates, we must say without doubt that these individuals are deserving of this award as they have distinguished themselves in the Chamber and to the Faculty at large.
Congratulations to Unity Chambers very first Senior Advocates:

It's been a long time coming. Unity Chamber felicitate with it's 500L members as they bag their LL.B. We will sure miss them but we appreciate the fact that life is indeed a journey and they have conquered this 'city' and on transit to the next. Therefore, as they go to the bigger 'city', they shall be more than conquerors. They have served the Chamber abundantly well and posterity will remain indebted. We wish them success in all their life endeavours. Gracias!

HYPOTHETICAL
This is the hypothetical fact in view of our upcoming Civil Trial.
David Zumka is a 35 year old indutrialist who has established a Road construction company in Nigeria in the year 2012 and has obtained all the necessary licenses to operate in Nigeria having duly registered d Company, Briggs and Briggs Construction Company Limited with the Corporate Affairs Commission. His workforce rose up to 350 comprising of 3 Foreigners who were top officials of the company. Under deir organizational contract of employment which acknowledges necessary regulations under the Applicable Labour Law in Nigeria, the employer and employees had agreed inter alia dat any party would be entitled to terminate d said contract of employment after at least a month's notice has been issued to the other party or such party terminating in violation of the issue of notice shall pay a Month's salary in lieu of notice. Two of the labourers had sustained injuries at a bridge construction site and had received medical at their expense after which when they had recovered,they sought to be reimbursed but were not considered by the Company. They protested about the non challance of the Company management and they were paid a Month's salary in lieu of notice of termination and summarily dismissed from work. Dissatisfied with the nature of the termination of their employment, they have now applied to the court for the enforcement of their rights and requiring inter alia, reinstatement.
