AN ENGINEER IN A CAR MANUFACTURING COMPANY DESIGNS A WORLD CLASS CAR.
THE *CEO* WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE OUTCOME AND PRAISED HIM A LOT.

WHILE TRYING TO BRING OUT THE CAR FROM THE MANUFACTURING AREA TO THE SHOWROOM, THEY REALISED THAT THE CAR WAS *2* INCHES TALLER THAN THE ENTRANCE.

THE ENGINEER FELT BAD THAT HE DID NOT NOTICE THAT BEFORE CREATING THE CAR.

THE CEO WAS CONFUSED ON HOW TO TAKE IT OUTSIDE OF THE MANUFACTURING AREA. THE PAINTER SAID THAT THEY CAN BRING OUT THE CAR AND THERE WILL BE A FEW SCRATCHES ON TOP OF THE CAR WHICH COULD BE TOUCHED UP LATER ON. THE ENGINEER SAID THAT THEY CAN BREAK THE ENTRANCE, TAKE THE CAR OUT AND LATER RE-DO IT.

THE CEO WAS NOT CONVINCED WITH ANY IDEAS AND FELT LIKE IT WAS A BAD SIGN TO BREAK OR SCRATCH.

HOWEVER, A WATCHMAN WHO WAS OBSERVING ALL THE DRAMA SLOWLY APPROACHED THE CEO.
HE WANTED TO GIVE AN IDEA IF THEY HAD NO PROBLEM. THEY WONDERED WHAT THIS GUY WOULD TELL THEM THAT THE EXPERTS COULD NOT GIVE. THE WATCHMAN SAID
*"THE CAR IS ONLY A FEW INCHES TALLER THAN THE ENTRANCE. SO, SIMPLY RELEASE THE AIR IN THE TIRE & THE HEIGHT OF THE CAR WILL SINK AND CAN BE EASILY TAKEN OUT"*

AT THIS POINT EVERYONE CLAPPED FOR THE BRILLIANT IDEA.

*DO NOT ALWAYS ANALYSE THE PROBLEMS FROM AN EXPERT POINT OF VIEW ALONE.*

ISSUES IN LIFE ARE ALSO THE SAME. LET US LISTEN TO NON PROFESSIONALS.

BITS ABOUT JINN

1, Jinn are most unjust set of creatures.

2, There is no one jinn hated most than the righteous muslims. Who is struggling to satisfy Allah.

3, Jinn are highly deceptive. And jinn love to associate with liars and sinners.

Allah says
Surah Ash-Shuara, Verse 221:
هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ الشَّيَاطِينُ

Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend?

Surah Ash-Shuara, Verse 222:
تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ

They descend upon every lying, sinful one,

4, Jinn wait for muslims on the path of righteousness.

Allah says

Surah Al-Araf, Verse 16:
قَالَ فَبِمَا أَغْوَيْتَنِي لَأَقْعُدَنَّ لَهُمْ صِرَاطَكَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ

He said: As Thou hast caused me to remain disappointed I will certainly lie in wait for them in thy straight path.

5, Jinn/shaitan love the slip of the righteous. And they often exploit it.

6, Jinn love the company of disobedient ones.

7, Jinn thrives a lot among the ignorant ones.

8, Jinn are bitter enemies of muslims on the straight path.

Allah says

Surah Fatir, Verse 6:
إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ فَاتَّخِذُوهُ عَدُوًّا إِنَّمَا يَدْعُو حِزْبَهُ لِيَكُونُوا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ

Surely the Shaitan is your enemy, so take him for an enemy; he only invites his party that they may be inmates of the burning.

9, Jinn/shaitan has no single benefit to bestow a righteous muslims.

10, Continue to seek refuge in Allah against the plotting of shaitan.

*BALANCING BETWEEN CLASSICAL AND COMTEMPORARY ISLAMIC SCHOLARSHIPS: PROFESSOR ALARO’S UNIQUE SCHOLARSHIP AS A MODEL*

In few hours from now, my alma mater, the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, will be hosting the 196th Inaugural Lecture of the University, to be delivered by the respected doyen of Islamic law of banking and finance, Prof. AbdulRazzaq AbdulMajeed Alaro FIFP, MCIArb, CIAE, the current HOD of Islamic Law Department in the most-sought-after nation’s university. The lecture is titled; "Islamic Financial Services: The Interplay of Religion, Law and Corporate Social Responsibility." I consider it necessary to write on a day like this on account of my constant interface with the department, in different capacities, for a period of one decade and still counting– even though I presently hold no official position in the said Department.

Today’s lecture is both historic and symbolic; it is historic for being the third inaugural lecture from the Department of Islamic Law, University of Ilorin. The first and second inaugural lectures were delivered by Professors Abduqadir Zubair and Abdurafiu Omotosho. The former is the first professor of Islamic law in the West African sub-region, while the latter is a household name in the twin field of Islamics and Islamic law in Nigeria. It is also symbolic for the reason that the first three inaugural lecturers of the department were products of both eastern and western education. They are alumni of the revered Islamic University of Medina, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and at one time or the other, they had their post-graduate and/or professional studies in Western-oriented higher institutions of learning either at home or abroad.

I have been privileged to have learnt from a number of highly cerebral scholars in the academia, right from my LASU days up till the present moment. In the process, I have found the issue of balancing between classical and contemporary Islamic scholarships to be a recurring phenomenon among academic

📢Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA)🔔
FELICITATION AND MOONSIGHTING FOR RAMADAN 1442 A.H.

"The month of Ramadan (is that) in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). “So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadan i.e. present at his home), he must observe fasting that month”… (Q. Al-Baqarah 2:185)
The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), under the leadership of its President-General and Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Alh. Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, CFR, mni, felicitates with the entire Muslim Ummah on the auspicious occasion of the forthcoming Ramadan, 1442 A.H. The Council prays that Allah spares our lives to this and many more Ramadans on the surface of the earth and give us the ability to carry out good deeds as much as possible because of the multiplicity of its virtues and the blessings of Allah in the Month.
In the same vein, the Council enjoins all Muslims to be prayerful unto Allah, especially in this Month, (Ramadan), to help our Nation and the world in general and our leaders in particular to be able to overcome the current C0vid-19 pandemic and the various extant and palpable security challenges.
Also, Council wishes to advise Muslims in the country that as they await the announcement for the commencement of the Ramadan fast, we should be vigilant and take extra security and health measures to protect ourselves, loved ones and neighbours.
Consequent to the advice of the National Moon Sighting Committee (NMSC), the President-General enjoins the Nigerian Muslim Ummah to search for the crescent of Ramadan 1442 AH immediately after sunset on Monday, April 12, 2021, which is equivalent to 29th Sha’aban 1442 AH.
If the crescent is sighted by Muslims of impeccable character on the said evening, then His Eminence would declare Tuesday, April 13, 2021 as the first day of Ramadan 1442 AH.

*EFFECTIVE RAMADAN ROUTINE;*

You may find it useful.

1. Sleep Daily by 10:00pm.

2. Wake up 3:00am.

3. Tahajjud 3:30am till 4:15am

4. Study Quran for 20mins, at least 10 verses with meaning.
• 4:15am - 4:35am.
• Observe your Dua for 10mins, ask all your desires from Allah 4:35 - 4:45.

5. Eat Sahur 4:45am till 5:05am

6. Rest till 5:20am but try not sleep.

7. Pray Salatu Subhi: 5:30am

8. Do Morning Azkar till 6am/6:30am

9. Rest/Prepare for the day till 7am.

10. Pray Salatu Duha, at least 4 Rakats. From 11:00am to 11:30am

11. Constantly Listen to Quran.

12. Pray Salatu Zuhr by 1pm. Do 20mins Azkar.

13. Pray Salatu Asr by 4:00pm & Do 20mins Evening Azkar, and recitation of the Qur'an.

14. Break your fast at 7:00pm with what you can afford. But pray and ask Allah for anything and everything you want before breaking the fast.
• Pray Salatu Magrib, your Dua will not be rejected.

15. 8:00pm Start Praying Ishai & Pray 11 Rakats of Taraweeh till 9:00pm.

16. After Taraweeh, spend 5mins to reflect on the day, and ask yourself these questions;.
• What did you do well?
• What needs to be improved?.
• What needs to stop?
• What needs to start?

May we witness Ramadan in good health.🤲
