Congratulations on your successful Call to the Nigerian Bar. Welcome to the noble legal profession!

As a newly enrolled Legal Practitioner, one of your first obligations is to pay your Bar Practising Fee (BPF). Payment of the BPF is mandatory for legal practice in Nigeria and also gives you access to your NBA Digital Seal and Electronic Signature.

Step 1: Register on the NBA Membership Portal

1. Visit https://portal.nigerianbar.org.ng
2. Click Sign Up.
3. Enter your Nigerian Law School Exam Number (e.g. EXM000123).
4. Select your name from the list displayed.
5. Complete your registration by following the on-screen instructions.
6. Log in and pay your Bar Practising Fee (BPF).

Important Notice

Please ensure you use the same email address you used during your Nigerian Law School programme when:

* Registering on the NBA Membership Portal; and
* Completing your enrolment at the Supreme Court.

Using a different email address may delay the migration of your profile from your Exam Number to your Supreme Court Number (SCN) after enrolment.

Step 2: Set Up Your NBA Digital Seal & Electronic Signature

After paying your BPF, visit:

https://digitalseal.nigerianbar.online

First-Time Login

1. Click Set Password.
2. Enter:
* Your Exam Number; and
* The same email address used during Law School.
3. Click Send OTP.
4. Retrieve the OTP from your email (check your Spam, Junk or Promotions folder if necessary).
5. Create your password.
6. Return to the login page and sign in.

Step 3: Claim Your Complimentary Digital Seals

As a newly called lawyer, you are entitled to 25 complimentary NBA Digital Seals.

After logging into your dashboard:

* Click Claim Complimentary Seal.
* Your free seal pack will be credited to your account.

Step 4: Seal and Sign Your Documents

From your dashboard:

1. Click Seal a New Document.
2. Upload your PDF document.
3. Choose one of the following:
* Seal Only
* Sign Only
* Sign & Seal
4. Position the seal/signature where required.
5. Click Apply & Download.

Your document is processed securely and returned instantly. It is not stored on the server.

Need Additional Seals?

If you exhaust your complimentary seals:

1. Click Buy Seals.
2. Select your preferred seal pack.
3. Make payment.
4. Your wallet will be credited automatically.

*REPORT OF THE HANDING OVER AND SWEARING-IN CEREMONY OF THE NEWLY ELECTED EXECUTIVES OF THE NIGERIAN BAR ASSOCIATION, IKERE-EKITI BRANCH*

Date: Saturday, 27th June 2026

Venue: Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN Bar Centre, Ikere-Ekiti

Theme: A New Era of Progress and Consolidation

*Preamble*

History was made on Saturday, 27th June 2026, as the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikere-Ekiti Branch, formally witnessed the transition of leadership from the outgoing 2024-2026 executive to the newly elected 2026-2028 executive. The occasion, which held at the prestigious Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN Bar Centre, Ikere-Ekiti, was a testament to the Branch's unwavering commitment to democratic succession, institutional growth, and collective progress.

The ceremony, anchored by the newly elected Publicity Secretary, Victor Ogunjobi, Esq. , was graced by distinguished legal luminaries, including two Emeritus Chairmen of the Branch: Oluwayomi Ojo, Esq. and Asiwaju Dr. Michael Afolayan , who also served as the Notary Public responsible for administering the oaths of office and allegiance to the incoming executives.

*The Ceremony*

The event commenced at approximately 1:00pm, slightly behind the scheduled 12:00 noon start time. This minor delay notwithstanding, the proceedings proceeded with seamless precision and the high level of decorum befitting the noble profession.

The outgoing Chairman, Temitope Kolawole, Esq. , delivered a heartfelt welcome address, reflecting on the journey of the past two years and expressing gratitude to the members for their unwavering support. He formally dissolved all committees and the outgoing executive, bringing the 2024-2026 tenure to a dignified conclusion.

In a symbolic act of transition, the outgoing Chairman handed over the keys to the Branch bus, the keys to the Bar Centre, and all other Branch properties in his custody to the incoming Chairman, Ayo Daramola, Esq. This moment signified not merely the transfer of assets, but the passing of the baton of leadership and responsibility.

The high point of the ceremony was the swearing-in of the new executives, administered by Asiwaju Dr. Michael Afolayan , a Notary Public of proven integrity. The Chairman was sworn in first, followed by the other executive members, marking the official commencement of their tenure.

Thereafter, the newly inaugurated Chairman, Ayo Daramola, Esq. , delivered an inspiring inaugural speech, outlining his vision for a Branch defined by progress, inclusivity, and consolidation. His words resonated deeply with all present, signalling the dawn of a new era for the Fountain Bar.

Goodwill messages were delivered by Bar leaders and stakeholders. Their words of encouragement and solidarity underscored the unity of the legal profession in Ekiti State.

The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by the new Branch Secretary, Ayodeji Samson Aina, Esq. , followed by closing prayers, group photographs, and refreshments.

*The New Executive (2026-2028)*

The following members were formally inaugurated to lead the Branch for the next two years:

· Secretary: Ayodeji Samson Aina, Esq.

*Conclusion*

The Handing Over and Swearing-In Ceremony of the NBA Ikere-Ekiti Branch was a resounding success, marked by pomp, pageantry, and the unmistakable spirit of unity. It was a day of honour, tradition, and renewed hope for the Fountain Bar.

As the new executive assumes office, the Branch looks forward to a future defined by progress, consolidation, and the collective pursuit of excellence.

Here is to a new era. Here is to the Fountain Bar.
