The law as I know it is: obtaining NYSC certificate is a not ground for qualification to contest for Governor in Nigeria.
So one can fill Nomination form without them.

But it is a different issue if you choose to include it, submits a forged one. In that case, it becomes a ground for seeking your disqualification under giving false information in aid of your qualification.

We at E - LAW & CO are happy for the termination of the frivolous criminal charge against our Client, General Ashinze by the Federal High Court sitting j. Abuja.
He, alongside other Defendants, we subjected to harsh trial since 2016 over a mere suspicion diverting funds meant for arms purchase by Ex NSA, Col. Sambo Dasuki.

After a careful and passionate review of the case, the Attorney General of Federation entered a nolle- prosequi, and withdrew the Charge.
Consequently we applied for our Client to be discharged, and the trial Judge agreed with us discharged them accordingly.

We commend the Attorney General and his office for taking the bold and fair step, which accords with reason and justice.

While thanking our Client for the faith and confidence reposed in us all these years, we also must thank our colleagues for the the other Defendants: Chief Paul Erokoro SAN, Mazi Afam Osigwe SAN and Nuru Jimoh SAN. Together we fought and won the legal battle.

We at E - LAW & CO. condemn the invasion of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja by some operatives of State Security Service in a bid to arrest a Defendant standing trial.

It belittles us as a nation to have a sacred place as the Court desecrated in such manner. That act amounts, in our humble view, contempt of court in-facie.
Consequences and sanctions must apply.

May it never happen again!

The 2019 Nigerian Bar. Association Annual Bar Conference has come and gone. Our law firm, E - LAW & CO. was well represented.

The theme of the this year's Conference is: 'Facing the Future'. Under it were different interesting topics. The most striking to us as it relates to legal practice is the rave of ICT and it's impact in legal practice.

No time is so momentous to probe and discuss this topic than now.

It is argued, and rightly too, that in the nearest future, as ICT is ruling the world, lawyers job is under threat. Time and space may not permit us to go into details, but the summary of it all is that the future of legal practice lies in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

To face this future and compete favourable, a lawyer must therefore ensure he or she is ICT compliant. From legal services deliveries, artificial intelligence, data analytical, to E- courts, etc, one must be in tune as the world moves in that direction.

We at E- LAW have already taken steps I'm that direction. Recall that as at 19/05/2019, we announced that we have ventured into new areas of legal practice. IT is one of them.
