Speech by Alhaji Mohammed Ndarani, SAN, at the Wedding Fatiha of El-Yasin Mohammed Nami

My dear newly wedded couple, I warmly congratulate you on this beautiful occasion and pray that Almighty Allah blesses your union with love, peace, understanding and lasting happiness.

I also extend my heartfelt congratulations to the groom’s father, Alhaji Muhammad Nami, former Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), and the entire Nami family on this joyous occasion.

As you begin your journey together, build your marriage on love, trust, patience, mutual respect and understanding. Communicate openly, accommodate your differences and always support one another.

Marriage requires sacrifice from both husband and wife.
Never allow disagreements or external influences to undermine the peace of your home, when challenges arise, seek wisdom and counsel from ALLAH.

My prayer is that Allah will bless your marriage, grant you righteous and responsible children, and make your home a source of peace, happiness and blessings.

Congratulations to the couple and the entire Nami family. May Allah bless your union.

NDARANI, SAN CHARGES NEWLYWEDS ON LOVE, PATIENCE AND GODLINESS

Marriage remains one of the most sacred institutions ordained by Allah, and its success depends largely on the values upon which it is built. It was on this premise that I urged newly married couples to embrace love, patience, mutual respect, trust and the fear of Allah as the foundation of a peaceful and enduring home.

I gave this advice at the wedding Fatiha of the daughter of Alhaji Mohammed Baba Busu, Jakada Labari and Zonal Manager of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Minna, and Nurse Rukaya Baba Mohammed, who was joined in marriage to Alhaji Mohammed Usman Egbagi Haske Nupe of Suleja.

Marriage is a sacred institution that requires sacrifice, understanding, commitment and forgiveness. I encouraged the couple to support one another, make prayer a central part of their home and remain steadfast in the values that unite them.

I congratulated the families of the bride and groom and prayed that Almighty Allah blesses the union with peace, prosperity, good health and righteous children.

I also prayed for peace, unity and progress in Nigeria, expressing confidence that with collective commitment and mutual respect, our nation will continue to overcome its challenges and achieve greater development.

MADUGUN LAPAI: A CALL TO GREATER SERVICE
I am deeply honoured and humbled by the conferment of the traditional title of Madugun Lapai by His Royal Highness, Alhaji Umaru Bako Ill, the Etsu Lapai.
This recognition is particularly meaningful because it comes from my own people.
I sincerely thank His Royal Highness and the entire Lapai Emirate Council for finding me worthy of this honour.
I regard this title not as a personal achievement, but as a call to greater service. It strengthens my commitment to promoting peace, development, and the welfare of our people while upholding the values of integrity, justice, and selfless service.

Mohammed Ndarani Mohammed, SAN, formally presented his Expression of Interest and Nomination forms as part of his aspiration to represent the people of Niger South in the Senate come 2027.

This significant step was taken during a courtesy visit to the Abuja residence of former Senator and revered Waziri Nupe, Senator Isah Muhammad, whose guidance and blessings he earnestly sought.

During the visit, I conveyed my deep sense of responsibility and commitment to the service of our people, emphasizing that my decision to contest is driven by a genuine desire to contribute meaningfully to the development, unity, and progress of Niger South.

I acknowledged the invaluable role of elders and statesmen like Senator Isah Muhammad, whose wealth of experience and leadership remain instrumental in shaping the political direction of our region.

I further reiterated my loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and my determination to uphold the ideals of the party while working tirelessly to ensure effective representation for our people.

Seeking the blessings and counsel of the Waziri Nupe is not only a mark of respect but also a reflection of my belief in inclusive leadership and collective wisdom.

The visit concluded with prayers and words of encouragement, reinforcing my resolve to pursue this journey with humility, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to the aspirations of the good people of Niger South.

I recently presented my Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for the Niger South Senatorial seat to His Royal Highness, the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, at his palace in Wadata, Bida.

I made this visit out of deep respect for the role our traditional institutions play in unity and governance. Contesting under the APC platform, I reaffirmed my commitment to championing the constitutional recognition of traditional rulers, tackling youth unemployment, addressing infrastructure deficits, and improving access to education and healthcare across Niger South.

I told His Royal Highness: “The traditional institution is central to our identity and stability, and it deserves constitutional recognition and support.”

His Royal Highness commended my visit as a demonstration of respect and humility, urged me to remain sincere and dedicated to service, and graciously offered his prayers and blessings for the success of my aspiration.

Statement on My Consultation Visit to the Niger State Governor

As part of my ongoing consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections, I had the honour of visiting the Executive Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umaru Bago, alongside his Deputy, Yakubu Garba, at the Government House in Minna, following my purchase of the Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms to contest for the Niger South Senatorial seat.

My aspiration to represent the good people of Niger South is driven by a strong sense of responsibility to serve and to advance the collective interests of our communities. This visit was aimed at seeking guidance and blessings from the state leadership, in line with my belief that effective leadership must be anchored on respect for institutions, consultation, and shared responsibility.

I consider it both necessary and important to engage key stakeholders as we work towards building a more inclusive, united, and progressive Niger State. During the visit, I commended the present administration for its efforts in promoting development, stability, and good governance across the state.

I also reaffirmed my commitment to delivering effective representation, sound legislation, and people-oriented policies if given the opportunity to serve. My aspiration goes beyond personal interest; it is rooted in years of engaging with our communities through initiatives in education, empowerment, and social development. However, I believe there is still much more to be done to improve the lives of our people.

I emphasized the need for synergy between the legislative and executive arms of government, noting that sustainable development can only be achieved through unity, cooperation, and a shared vision.

I am grateful for the warm reception, wise counsel, and encouragement I received during the visit. The engagement has further strengthened my resolve and commitment to the path ahead.

As we continue this journey, I remain committed to the ideals of unity, inclusiveness, and service, and to contributing meaningfully towards building a better future for Niger South and Niger State at large.

Ndarani, SAN declares Niger South Senatorial bid, pledges credible leadership and inclusive development

Yesterday, April 29, 2026, marked an important milestone in our collective journey, as I officially obtained the Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest for the Niger South Senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections in Niger State.

This decision is not driven by personal ambition alone, but by a deep sense of responsibility shaped by years of engagement with our people, listening to your concerns, understanding your challenges, and sharing in your hopes for a better future.

Across our communities, the message has been clear: the need for credible leadership, effective representation, and meaningful development.
It is this call that inspired me to take this step.

Over time, I have remained committed to supporting our people through educational scholarships, women empowerment initiatives, and other community-based interventions.

These efforts reflect my firm belief that leadership must be rooted in service and measurable impact.
Obtaining this Nomination and Expression of Interest Form is only the beginning of a greater responsibility to represent with integrity, promote unity, and advocate for development that reaches every community in Niger South, Zone A.

This journey is not about division or differences, but about unity, inclusiveness, and building a future that works for all.

I am sincerely grateful to our party leadership, elders, stakeholders, and supporters for their continued encouragement and trust.

Together, we will move forward with purpose and determination because this is not just my journey, but our shared commitment to building a better Niger South.
