RE: the obstruction of justice, by an overzealous civil defence officer; a call for reawakening of our collective public consciousness in defence of the rule of law.
Distinguished readers, international observers and fellow Nigerians, we all might have seen a now viral video detailing how a civil defence officer prevented a serving judge from carrying out her constitutional duties of delivering judgment already prepared the said judge.
The despicable conduct or act of the officer in question must be condemned by all Nigerians, and such condemnation must take full effect from the root, stem and branches.
The officer in question is not fit to remain in those uniforms under our current civilization hence I join those who called for his summary trial and dismissal from the corp as he can no longer be reasonably expected to earn salary form tax payers money.
For all those who may want to argue that the said officer was only following lawful instructions or command from some superior, may I remind you that the officers under Hi**er in old Germany persisted in such error and inflicted havoc on humanity and left the dark patch of genocide on our collective humanity and the currency of such opinions now available to us counters such skewed narratives, therefore who ever obey an illegal instruction must solely be responsible for his actions and indiscretion.
Consequently, the threat or attack to the judicial arm of government in any part of Nigeria remains a public odium and a televised r**e on our sensibilities and constitutional democracy.
It is my humble submission that such act of brigandage, threat or bully against the 3rd and most important arm of govt. No matter who the proponents are remains illegal, null and void and finds no sympathy within our constitutional frame work.
Let's justice be done though the heavens may fall.
