Valentine’s Day is for love, not legal trouble. ❤️
Before you arrange that beautiful money bouquet, here’s something you should know:
Under Section 21 of the CBN Act, spraying, defacing, hawking, or otherwise mutilating the Naira is prohibited.
So using Naira notes for bouquets, decorations, or similar displays may amount to a violation of the law.
And it doesn’t stop with the vendor.
The giver, the seller, and even the recipient can all be held liable.
The penalty is a fine of ₦50,000, or imprisonment for not less than six months, or both.
Love should create memories, not court cases.😊
Celebrate beautifully, but stay within the law.
But Sha, if you want wahala we sef Dey.
