Over the weekend I was a speaker at the Jasper's realtors development conclave. A 10 hours Real estate Master class for realtors.

I demystified every realtor's big picture. A process and mindset that every passionate and intentional realtor must consciously walk through and achieve within few years.

It wasn't your regular theoritical master class, it was practical because it is what I have done for 7years now.

The starting point of achieving mastery in your field is for you to commit to excellence.

I have never met a person who made a decision to get to top 20 percent in their field who did not eventually achieve it. And I have never seen a person who got there having not made that decision.

Making the decision to learn and following it up with continuous, purposeful and disciplined action was all I saw on the faces of this hungry, passionate and intentional participants.

I have no doubt about their results in few months even as an instant result of sale was recorded in the process.

The major reason people wait to buy land is fear and ignorance.

Fear keeps you at a spot, it stops you from moving in to get that property or land that you want.

But when you do your due diligence, you would be able to know everything about the land or property you’re about to get.

There’s no harm in asking questions about the land you want to buy, it’s important you do that. That is the only way to dispel your fear.

So many people feel that they don’t need to do proper verification on the property they are about to get because they easily trust people.

Following your instincts isn’t wrong but ensure you take your brain with you, to avoid buying trouble.

A lot of lands out there have litigations and troubles on it but you can only know which to avoid if you do proper verification about the property before you make payment for it.

The worst thing anyone including you wouldn’t want to do in this critical time is to lose your money.

In real estate or land transaction, it amounts to double loss if you have to lose money and the property (land) at the same time.

Ensuring you do your due diligence before payment or commitment is very important.

Again, no matter who is involved in the transaction, there is a part you have to play as the buyer and most of all, a first time buyer.

To be forewarned is to be forearmed.
