🌸 Happy International Women's Day 2026! 🌸
To every woman building her own business, your courage, your vision, and your drive inspire us every day.
This IWD, we want to empower every woman entrepreneur with something just as important as ambition, knowing your rights before you sign.
Here are 3 things every woman business owner should know when entering contracts or partnerships:
📝 Always Have It in Writing
A verbal agreement, no matter how trusted the other party, is difficult to enforce. Always ensure your business arrangements, partnerships, services, or collaborations, are properly documented in a written contract that clearly spells out each party's rights and obligations.
🤝 Know What You,re Signing in a Partnership
Before entering any business partnership, ensure there is a Shareholders' Agreement or Partnership Agreement in place. This protects you on key matters such as profit sharing, decision-making rights, and most importantly, what happens if things go wrong.
🚪Know Your Exit Rights
Many women business owners focus on getting in, but rarely think about getting out. Your contract should clearly define exit clauses, how you can leave a partnership, under what terms, and how your share is valued if you do.
If you would like a second pair of eyes before your next big business decision, our team is happy to help. Feel free to reach out. 😊
Here's to every woman who builds, leads, and owns her story. 🌷
